favorite artist today … bar none.  Can not wait for this new project to drop!!

EDIT: MNDSGN Mndsgn's songwriting is pretty damn good … anyone else find themselves feeling the lyrics just as much as the beat for this track?

so i've been listening to Helping Hands pretty much every day trying to get myself inspired to finish my own first/last album...beats are amazing, but there's a few things that kinda irritate me about Ivan Ave.

firstly, on my favorite track "Hello", he flubs the last line (i swear to God he says, "i got a pack back of love songs..." instead of backpack).  secondly, on the track "The Circle", he says in the hook "i don't fuck with hectagons even" -- but that's not even a real shape haha.  there's pentagons and hexagons, but no such thing as a hectagon.  i'm just surprised that an album this good still has some mistakes that nobody caught before they released it and pressed it on vinyl.  still a great project though, i've been listening to a lot of Mndsgn lately

Hectogon/hectagon might actually be a word for a 100 sided polygon. I thought the same thing when I heard it and looked it up but there are very few references.

^^ mehh … that's all cosmetic anyway.  Jakarta Records is a Germany-based label and Ivan Ave is a Norwegian emcee.  If in fact that is a lapse in better judgment, it's understandable.  I forgive him.

This is fantastic. When he signed to ST I was expecting him to switch things up a bit and be more adventurous, which he kinda hinted at with parts of Yawn Zen, but it sounds here like he's really committed to a new direction while still keeping the classic Mndsgn vibe. Def picking this one up. Might even pre-order.

First album / beat tape cover art in which he appears, right?  Interesting.  Would you guys agree that he's in the process of becoming more of a focal point by design?

P.S., I'd love for Vivians to get a vinyl release.  I missed out on the cassettes cause I'm an idiot, but that project was definitely one of my favorites from 2015 … if not the favorite.

Really digging the new record, I thought the first one was good but this has a lot more going on. Lyrics to some of these tracks are kinda silly but I do think him singing more adds a lot here. Was listening to Vivians the other day, dunno if the combo would work much but would be interesting hearing a project between him and Koreatown Oddity again with some Mndsgn vocals thrown in there.

UPDATE: on Genius.com, the lyrics say "packed bag of love songs"...so i was wrong on both criticisms of Ivan Ave -- the hectogon line is actually really clever.  i'm just stupid

Thoughts on Body Wash?

Not my favorite Mndsgn project TBH.  As far as ST releases are concerned, I thought Yawn Zen way way more dynamic.  "Ya Own Way" is really one of my favorite songs of 2016, though … MNDSGN Mndsgn at his finest

Just got home from his performance tonight in Denver. Was happy to see my man James Frank. parked right smack dab in the middle of the front row coolin' out with his bitty to some nice Mndsgn tunes.

Mndsgn is an awesome performer I must say. His energy is excellent and he isn't afraid to leave the synth behind and come croon to the audience on one knee. Don't miss the chance to see him live if he makes his way near your city, town, or small village.

^^ I saw MNDSGN Mndsgn, J. Rocc and PBW here in Miami a few months ago.  Wolf's done quite a few sets here in recent times, but I wish MNDSGN Mndsgn would come around more often.  Seems like most of the touring he does is overseas.  Looking forward to what comes of BODY WASH in terms of a tour or anything remotely resembling one.
