What if the turtle gets smashed by a car because he too slow?

 What if that very same turtle legally owns a Walther P90 with a concealed carry permit and disabled that speeding car's driver long before it could touch him?

I mean it literally, with your analogy. You are assuming that by doing what you're doing, it will eventually spread. There are plenty of people that put in way less time and quality in their work than you only to skyrocket to fame. There are also many people that put in equal or greater amounts of time and quality that never get mentioned or spread around and fade into obscurity. It looks like it's doing pretty well now, judging by your posts about chart positions, but let's say 6 weeks from now, sales and hype come to a hault. You just gonna ride it out and not keep pushing? What is your goal with this? Is earning additional income just a bonus and you've already accomplished what you want, simply realeasing the album?

You posted some long thing to Flip about your musical guests and goals, but you didn't really list any goals so I'm just curious.

I'm a very strong believer in transparency and right now my primary focus is getting you the people behind the album. I expressed why we're bypassing the blogs so basically it's going to be up to you the people to push the album forward by spreading the word. Some people call it a building a movement, some call it a creating a following, I just want the music to be heard by as many people possible without the fake shit that the majority of the industry does. My goal is to inspire people to love the music for the music again.

I'll check this out when I get home later today. You seem like an intelligent, logical person. I agree with what you say even though I initially thought you were an asshole for not posting in Hype, but if it was posted there this thread most likely would have been overlooked. So yeah, people need to love the music for what the music is, as opposed to all the bullshit that revolves around it nowadays. It's tough to have an impact on society without selling your soul to the devil. I expect to hear some nice jams when I get back.

Thank you for your ears and NO I'm NOT an ASSHOLE and I DON'T blame you, because those who are complaining are just hating. I actually do follow the rules here as my album is a valid discussion. That's why I simply ignore the hate and engage the love.

Out of interest who is the girl on the cover? What was the idea behind the album art? Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed. Peace

She represents the "New Golden Age of Hip Hop" which I believe we're currently in the beginning stages of now. I believe I make beautiful records even if the subject matter can be about the ugliness in the world and I wanted the artwork to reflect that.

I wanna know as well I wanna know if Pt 2 is going to be related to watch she can see, be cool if you put the covers next to each other to make a bigger picture. I'm still face palming the fact Pete has that dude from the Monster Island Czar crew, Ireally should read with a bit more attention.

*Yawns....

So yeah...the reports are coming in about the album from the radio mix show DJs and we got 95% positive rating. The hilarious part is out of 1,547 radio mix show DJs around the world that downloaded the album and gave us feedback, the most negative comments came from DJs from corporate owned stations in the "Dirty South". I guess they don't like the idea of #REALHIPHOP music making a comeback. :P

But seriously, I'm NOT into negative shit, so I figured I'd share with you a small sampling of the positive comments.

If I could, I would post all the DJ's comments, but due to fact that I have a mixing session with Neve 8048 I need to hop in my car and drive up north to. I'll just post these and I'm outta here.

where's your album at and how's it doing on the charts grifty?
i had a recent issue with pete too, but you're looking salty and kinda crazy.
stop being such a hater and let the o.g. pete marriott cook!
he's dropping the heat and the industry insider knowledge too.
what are you doing with your music, besides hating on pete's shine?

Dude... when Primo played my joint and he put it on his 2013 list, I didn't put it in the Hype section because, in my opinion, I thought it was a level above what would normally go in there. This follows the same thought process I had.

Peace guys,

I'm hoping that this will be my very last time addressing the consistently negative and manufactured disruptions created by those who are obviously unhappy with their own music careers or personal lives. I'm not really concerned with anyone's unfounded, unwarranted or unnecessary attacks on me, my work or my posts, because I in fact have always followed the rules since joining STMB years ago and will continue to do so.

If you're not interested in whatever I have to say or don't like me, my candor, my music or my posts then why even bother engaging them? I see posts all the time that I don't care for and guess what? I keep it moving. I don't make ultra silly hateful attack posts towards those who initiate them, nor do I team up with others to campaign or rail against others, because "I'm from Brooklyn, certain shit you just don't do". - Mos Def

I'm not addressing your music dude, and no hate no disrespect. But dawhud said it for me you think you're above the hype thread. You think you're better than that. That's why I'm getting "salty". I'll leave it alone after this though. Peace
