Who's headed out for this?
Looks like the tour starts tonight.
I'll be at the Toronto date.
Looking forward to the film as I helped crowdfund it and haven't seen it yet.
Looking forward to the gig after too. Obviously Wolf & J Rocc are dope, seen them both a couple times. Never seen Knx or Jonwayne, so looking forward to that.
Did I miss an update on any fresh merch for this tour, like they did for Japan?
Enjoy yourselves!

Anyone know when the digital copy is dropping for those who cordfunded the film? I'll be at the Chicago show but not the screening.

They haven't put a date out yet for the physical release. I'm going to assume that after this little run of premieres they will most likely drop the DVD.

So did anybody on the boards make it out to this?
The Toronto show was great.
Really pleased to see the film. Thought it was well done. The only crazy thing to me was that there was barely any mention of Egon at all. From what I know he was a pretty big part of the label, and some shit must have really went down for him to not be in it. They mentioned his name, but sort of just in passing.
We jetted over to the gig, but still missed Knx. Jonwayne was great live. J Rocc of course was crazy, and Wolf had a good set too.
(I saw on Instagram the next day that PBW father passed away earlier that evening, so it was incredible that he still did the Q&A and performed!)

As for people who asked about the DVD release, the last update I got was May.

just watched the movie again yesterday in the LA showing and i felt like it was much more complete than the first cut i saw a while back. The Q & A right after was cool too with Dam Funk, Common, Mayer Hawthorne, and PBW. The only thing i think the film is missing is a personal interview with Doom but other than that i think its perfect the way it is.

Depending on my work schedule I may/may not be able to hang out much before the movie, actually have another dude on Twitter who mentioned it coming to Portland to me (I'm sorry, but I don't know who this is on STMB lol) and was interested in hanging out and stuff

Am I the only one who has noticed that the winning poster from that contest a couple years ago isn't being utilized on anything?

Instead it looks like a modified version of one of the runner ups is getting all the love.

The soundtrack CD contains new Madlib beats, a few unreleased cuts, and other Stones Throw tracks heard in the movie.
The full Madlib soundtrack will be released on vinyl in June.

with this and RK2 June is already looking good.

I was listening to the snippets earlier and thought to myself 'Damn, I wish these beats were on wax!' then I read that statement and ran around my house doing cartwheels. This summer is looking mighty fine in terms of new The Madlib music!!
