C'mon yo!

Is it really this serious?

What a most disgusting display of deplorable behavior.
Have people really forgotten what decency is?
To fight over a pair kicks?
How much they cost to manufacture, like what? $5.00 each?
More than likely by a 5 year old that got paid 5 cents for a days's work in a unsafe factory at that.

Still can't believe people pay that much money for a pair of shoes.

I would buy a pair of Jordans if they costed $25-$30 doe.

More abhorantly, loathsome, moronic behavior.

Meanwhile the executive board at Nike are probably laughing at all the fools who aimlessly dance like the puppets they are for a pair of their sneakers.

Dont want to throw MJ under the bus. I was a big fan and was lucky to see him play live when I was young and he was a rookie.
The shoes were always overpriced and quite ugly.

Nike did a masterful job marketing him to newer generations. I was shocked that the shoes were being marketed on the NBA video games.

Sad really. These terrible acts were defensible almost, during the eighties when hip-hop hit kids and there was no internet to tell them how they were targets. But now?

Michael is at the top of the pyramid now.

Example of a good BroKing troll. Fantastic expression of sarcasm and play upon the irony that is the rap game from man from parts unknown.

I still do not think BroKing is black so the N word perhaps should not be used, but, in this sililoquy maybe it can be overlooked. Should he ever venture to say it out in the public...

The stun gun is one of the best things I have seen...

The terrible thing about all of this is that it is always blacks depicted as fighting blacks-while the nation watches.

Hillbilly's and elitist all commenting: "look at dem ni**ers fight...whoooeeee"

Fucking honkies make me sick. They ruin the image of a conservative in this country.

You know who makes me cringe the most in the use of the N-Word?
Black people.
No black person should use that word or any variation of it ever.
It deeply sicken me that it's used in the music, but I don't allow it on my records.
I let it slip once, but since then released an edited version of it.

But getting back to these overpriced tennis shoes.
Paying so much for something that has no true intrinsic or cultural value is the dumbest shit in the world to me.
If it was a vinyl record, I can understand because it's an historical archive of sorts.
Fine art is a no brainer, but Air Jordans have NEVER represented anything historical or art in any form.
It's just mass produced heavily marketed footwear that's attached to the name of a really tall guy that could jump.
If he cured cancer or stopped an asteroid from striking Earth then maybe I could see such value in his shoes.
But sorry folks, this is just another form of horseshit.
Wealthy captains of industry are selling the ultra silly consumer bullshit goods at a high sticker price and laughing all the way to the bank while hood rats murder each other for their cheesy shoes.

Can't argue any of the points that you make. I am glad that you have your own policy against utilization of the word on your records. You should vocalize that at every given chance to educate the unknowledgeable. I kind of fall under the spell of Chuck D from time to time. I dont think he ever used it. The powers that be are allowing the perversion of culture by promoting these kids to have a voice...they are the same that use twitterlike words such as ending sentences with, "tho." I almost flew to France to kick a silly little girl of a director's ass for doing that. It is an utter mockery of our folkways. The hip hop shorthand has run amok of casual conversation. Shows like SNL with scrubby writers are just as culpable. That is not at all entertainment.

As for the guy who could jump-he would rather watch his many followers die a silent death. He isn't too bothered by them. Not a nice guy. I am wondering what kind of family would allow their daughter to marry him? Oh that's right there is a sell-out in every culture. Nike is terrible. Even as a mixed up crazy kid who was a bit misguided and into fads, I knew that there was something inherently wrong with the price of those sneakers. I was on the hook because I was a fan of his. But when I heard about the kids that were getting their joints stolen--and that it was all within the black community--that bothered me a bit.

Not sure why people would want to be outfitted with sneakers that look like mess. Seems part of the gay agenda at work to me.

No shoes are not "fine" art. Collector's items-I understand.

I almost bought two pairs for nostalgic value--then I remembered that I am a grown-ass man.

Adidas is starting to do the same shit. They put out a punk ass Bball player as their spokesgirl. And they put out a line for Snoop I believe. The punk ass bball player was just a ruse to get someone that the black community could identify with. Everyone overlooks that he sucks.

American consumerism is a unique beast in the world. No other nations citizens put material goods, and the pursuit of the, at such levels that they are willing to physically fight, stab, rob, even kill for them.

America is a unique beast.

No, nothing like that. Your point was well-founded in fact.

But, try sending some friends or fam some gifts with labels attached and watch them dudes throw elbows to get a view of what the brand name is.

You will soon see the same. Muthafuckas are fronting for some IFONES and shit.

Yah dude, consumerism is worldwide. You know peeps in Kenya are licking thier chops at Jahbobi's second hand Jordans and Nike T. All I am saying is, it is heavy handed in the states, very heavy handed. As an observer of cultures and who, he, me myself has been around the world can say that American culture, as a generality is a bit of a misfit. I am not trying to diss most peeps on here's homeland, y'all good people, but the system is rigged so that a whole lot of emphasis is put on people spending money on meaningless things.

Credit Cards. People live off these things even when they got no doe. It's kind of encouraged as the interest rates make the credit card companies a whole wack of doe.

Exactly.

You know, I just found this out today. Read this article here. The Federal Reserve, mor Fed became 100 years old today. It was set up to, well I can't get into the details accurately but it basically runs in such a manner to manipulate the American dollar so it is the world wide currency.

All in all, all I can say is that as a Scotsman (family decent) when I first went back to the motherland, it bothered me that Pizza Hut, McDonalds and Burger King lining the main historic street of Edinburgh.

I have said it before and I will say it again, read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman". It shows the way in which the American Government ties in with the American Corporations to insure the corporations can spread out and set up shop world wide. It does this by very shady means.
