Just appeared on http://www.fipradio....0syl-et-mf-doom, a 2 hour radio show from Radio France with Egon, Madlib, DOOM & French DJ rapper 20Syl (from the wonderful Hocus Pocus / C2C crew - they are the BOMB live)...it's just been uploaded, I'm listening now. It must have been recorded a couple of weeks when they were all over in Europe...the interview is in English with simultaneous translation into French - hey, relax, it's like a UN press conference, you can still tune into the English even if you don't speak French. And it sounds like Egon's blessed us with a 30 minute mix at the end. There's a link to download it on iTunes as a podcast : http://itpc://radiof...9/rss_12744.xml...you'll work it out. Merci tout le monde!

Nice! I'm still interested in hearing the one where they took The Madlib digging in their vaults.

Egon makes that face in almost every photo I've seen of him.

Edit #2:

It's really a shame the french translator covers up most of the interview, this one doesn't have so many of the same questions over and over and over again that Madlib usually receives and there are even a few insights that I thought were interesting. Madlib mentions that he cringes now when hearing that Lootpack album and that when Freddie Gibbs heard Madlib's stuff at first he was only thinking of using it for some interlude or intro music until Lambo convinced him to rap over it.

what kind of nonsense were those guys speaking? That was a weird set-up...I thought that they were commenting on golf and how to throw yourself into battle...by hiding behind your girl.

Madlib mentions this is one of his favorites in his collection, super heavy track

Had always wondered what that super market blues track was off of too, happy to know the album finally.

This has been one of my favorite LPs of all time since I first heard it in college. You know you're doing something right with music if Spiro Agnew finds it necessary to publicly condemn your record.

Yeah I was reading more about this record, even more badass lol. Also reading somewhere that even Nixon was listening to it in the oval office and examining all these songs that the administration then got pretty pissed off about. It's really too bad what happened to Eugene McDaniels though, it sounds like he got kinda blackballed within the industry for quite a long time :(

In case you need it, I put a download link for the other Madlib mix in the Madlib on BBC 1 Benji B Show thread.
