Anyone heard this yet...?

I've been listening to it a lot the last few days, it's really good.

Not sure if it's as good as 'Memory Almost Full' or 'Electric Arguments' though. Time will tell.

Thoughts anyone...?

i'm amazed he's still touring and releasing new material well into his 70's. he really is a living legend at this point, he doesn't even have to write any new stuff...he could start dressing as a woman and doing diabetes infomercials and it still wouldn't affect his greatness whatsoever.

Am I alone in loathing "Wonderful Christmas Time"? For some reason that song is Hell's looping soundtrack for me. And I like the Beatles and other McCartney stuff.

Band On the Run is perhaps the greatest "Beatles" album ever. I mean the funkdatude on that thing is gargantuan. I used to like John best, before I really knew who did what and their legacy's, but Mac is the man!

^^ Band On The Run is a classic, but I always preferred the Ram album that he put out a year or so earlier, some awesome tunes on that one. Probs one of my personal favourites.

I love how he's still so willing to experiment and push the boundaries, never just playing it safe. He went through what I call his 'cheesy, irrelevant, almost falling into obscurity' phase in the mid-Eighties through to the early Nineties but pretty much everything he's put out from Flaming Pie onwards is stellar stuff... Especially Chaos & Creation in the Backyard, Memory Almost Full and The Fireman album Electric Arguments.

By far the most talented Beatle!

Oh and Helter Skelter has got to be the hardest rockin' Beatles track ever!! And it's one that Macca wrote! Favourite Beatles tune!!!

For realz. Band On The Run is dope.

Peep the funk Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five.

I belive the song is about weed. " I just kind get enough of that sweet stuff. Little lady gets me high".

His voice is so diverse too. He can drop that real heavy rock shit. In this tune is some slanted, off angle, nasal. Anyhow, mad funky. Makes me hate rappers. LoL

Check these out...

The McCartney II album is craaaazy!! This track here is probably the furthest thing away from what you would expect a Paul McCartney song to sound like...

I love this one too... It's off the most recent Fireman album 'Electric Arguments'. I love tracks like this where he's really screaming the vocals, like Helter Skelter, etc...

Cheers!

McCartney II was one of the first albums i ever bought crate-digging, and "Temporary Secretary" was one of the first tracks i ever sampled for a beat...i still have it lying around in a flash drive somewhere, but it's a piece of shit lol. but yeah, even the artwork is dope for that album. i can only imagine the type of shit John would've been doing if he hadn't...you know.

^^ Exactly my thoughts!

Ram is a masterpiece! Vocally he's at his peak on Ram I feel. So many different styles, from Heart Of The Country to Monkberry Moon Delight.

Classic!!

I don't know.
I just listened to both, Ram is more organic, but Band On the Run is more catchy. I think it has more hits. It is literally packed with hits. Tunes that could be number one on any sales chart. Meaning pop music. Pop-ular.

Anyhizzle. Mac is dope.
