Fucking brilliant Idea, just hope there is no Flylo rip off's. Welldone Mellow!!!! was it a draw, cos in that case well done St Rock!! as well.

Really need to apologise to everyone on 344, couldn't listen this week or vote, and it's the first time I've done that in over a year of joining here, so you that know me, know it's out of character, and it ain't happening again!!

Didnt have time to listen last week either.. I have a question about the EDM rule. Can I make a hip hop track with half time drums? Dont really feel like making an electronic track.

Great sample and best idea for rules in months I am with ODK sorry I didn't vote but i just did not get a chance to listen to all of the tracks this week. The ones I heard were great. So this week I am leaving the lazy behind me and getting focused.

Would be fun if it was a reverse rule...
So the guys who usually make non hiphop electronic stuff like gis_sweden
and Lucy and the Daze etc. would have to make hiphop... see what they'd come up with haha...

Anyway... Cool Rule! ...Good lookin' out Mellow :)

Congrats! It's been a long time i did a dance track.
It would be very interesting if you also decide the average BPM. Let say 125 - 140BPM?

That's correct. But if I do a EDM it definitely will be a dance track  And still..... a average BPM would be nice to spice it up!!!

...I'm thinking UKgarage, Grime myself... haven't started yet though... 'll see what comes out!

Just googled EDM... thought it meant Electronic Drum Music... But it's Electronic Dance Music... sorry illH'...

Don't want to sound petty but the rule is EDM... So Heggy.. get's achange of rule just like that? ... coz he doesn't feel like doing electronic music?.... On the other hand... what defines Electronic music... he only ever uses the sample...no outside anything!
Just curious... I'm clear on what is more or less expected..

I feel the king on this one.

Props to the winners, i'm really feeling this vibe to do something different this week. But the Jazz sample kinda breaks that for me. Cannot find a good entry point. A second optional sample would be appreciated. Not a must though. Just putting it out there.

Cheers.

This is dope, this is a good way to push people. I feel like a lot of people who compete here get bogged down by the idea that it needs to sound like a beat that a stones throw artist would make.

Sample was awesome.. Heres my track. All sounds are taken from the sample except the drums which are all taken from the Roland TR-808.

Congratulations to Mellow and Saint
Here's my joint for this week. I added a little hiphop touch but it has EDM incorporated into it.

Anyone struggling with Jazz samples and fitting it into dance style beats check out Roni Size, 90's Drum n Bass was all over stuff like this. Halfway through my beat right now at work.
