Why do you bother announcing it to all of us? Do you think you're that special?

Yo, guys... this is beeing blown all out of proportion...

I gotta stick up for Atom... he didn't do anything wrong in my opinion...

Glad he pointed out the similarity...Good thing right? with some bravado maybe...
Guess it's always difficult to interprate the tone in written text... hence emoticons ;)

And reading back the previous battle messages... he does say if he likes the sample too.

Everybody's got a right to say what they want... but when the word hate is used that just seems to spark s'thing off...

Anyway... point being: It takes all sorts...

Haha! I wish folks would speak up more on here. It might actually turn this into a battle. I tried pushing for more dialogue in the past, but some dudes don't want to do anything other than drop a beat, get a little shine, and not even return comments or return to vote. No doubt there's copycats and a plethora of different grades of producers in here. Some are in their own lane of creation and some are protecting their biting with the classic line, "Doesn't matter as long as it sounds good." Although, I wouldn't piss on someone for making one beat that sounds like someone else's work, there's always a learning experience when you try someone else's shoes on, but there is a difference when you use those Dilla drums or synth bass on a hundred different beats. Constructive criticism is nice when it stays unbiased, but there is a fine line when it turns into someone's biased opinion.

Freedom of speech should always be welcomed.. Complaints, bitch-fits, humor, praise, etc. But here's your "get outta jail free card" -- At least enter the contest first, then proceed... Because no one ever likes the loud heckler in the audience, stopping the show on stage. Right?

Also, good to see the 1 on 1 battles. I hope they keep going. I can't wait to get squashed by someone. ;)

i understand. like Joa said, text can't really pass a clear image of how another person is reacting. if you see someone being hateful automatically the next things he say you will assume it wasn't with the best intentions.

HUNGRYMAN, i think originality is something that should allways come first cause technique will eventually come in the sequence of that. now, sure everyone should have theyr influences, but people should take something they like and mold it their own way. not straight copy paste

well, i think i've made myself clear already so no need for more jibba jabba. :)
good luck yall. i heard some heat already. keep it coming

(looking forward for that 1on1, people should do it more often)

yo, i'm new here so hi everyone. congrats to j vibe for that awesome winning track and also for the samples choice, had some fun on them.

I can "smell" the challenge in the air and that's great, btw it's kinda funny that actually everyone blamed that AtomHeart dude without asking FRIS why the fuck his track has the same line of Tea Leaf Dancers =D okok, copying it's allowed and sometimes may bring unexpected results, but Atom was just informing the guys out there about the fact, maybe someone who doesn't know flylo couldn't recognize it. Btw for me everyone can do whatever he wants, even steal an entire track and upload it with his name no problem for me.. but i just find.. weird, to blame the only one who recognize it.

Hey.. no hate here, just opinions <3

Here's my entry, good luck everyone!!:

I get the flylo reference, something that subconciously inspired me, i guess, if I hear it now. But what's up with the elaquent stuff and the overall hate? Talk with beats yo

I think this is enough explanation as to why it sounded like it did... can't really ask more questions right?

The word "hate" is just way to harsh though... expand your vocabularies dudes... e.g. misery, grumpiness, negativity etc... ;)

Gonna check your track out now Lzyby ...too lazy to type the vowels ;)

I leave you kids alone for 2 minutes and your all off again !, first off what is going on with this one on one, we're posting in here and the other 2 threads one which I've started.

There are 3 forms of communicating, Passive, aggressive, and assertive.
Assertive is the most helpful form to all of us,
Passive and Aggressive, just don't help anyone.
For example a child misbehaves, is he Bad, or is he BEHAVING badly,
there are ways of saying things where you can damage people and put them on the floor
or help and pick them up off the floor,
If your going to put someone down, then you sure as hell make sure your the one to pick them back up.

Too me what Atom has done is like being at work, and instead of the person that has a problem with you, talking to you and dealing with it how we should, he's turned around and aired his views publicly, yes he has a point, and could be right, but the way it's dealt with was out of order. Point him in the right direction, don't smash him in the back of the head and drive his face into the ground, that is what has pissed people off and caused the bullshit known as beef or heat!

I'll be blunt now, I don't like seeing anyone's dignity walked over, due to thinking your right and you have the right to handle it how you want, then continue to back it up, in the same negative manner, alter your behaviour, and how you react and the outcomes and results around you, will change for the better. What you put out you will attract back, be nice and helpful and it comes back.

Have to give it up for ODK and a few others here, for standing up . I agree with lazyboy and hungryman as well. It's okay to post ur opinion. Just don't badmouth people.

Lots of VERY GOOD Epic beats this week. None remind me of EL... so guess that's that.
Props on the fires this week, thanks for the comments and listens,

And thanks a lot for voting on that doom battle guys ! We can proceed !

Peace

Unfortunately I won't be able to vote this week, it's the Jewish new year and I won't be on the Internet for a few days. Just wanna say I heard a lot of dope beats so far and a lot of good pieces continue to roll in. I feel honored to be a part of a community of artists like this and I'm looking forward to hearing what we will all create in the future.

Peace and much love stbb fam

Bribery will get you everywhere BasementB' ;) ( that's just a joke, to make it perfectly clear! )

Thanks!

Noticed your track is not on the Stones Throw Beat Battle page... you need to Add to group under your sound on your page.

Peazy J.

Can you please explain to me how to do that? I am having mad trouble understanding how this all works. I would like to get it all str8 for the next time around. I am a str8 noob here, haha.. and I smoked myself retarded at 15... and im 30 now.. so I have like zero brain cells left. I need a step by step if possible, please and thank you. haha.. I cant figure anything out on my own here.. there has to be easier ways to make this all work. Or am I that dumb? Just remember back to your first time coming here.. and put yourself in my shoes.

One other thing.. I am not sure if anyone here knows about the site. I came up on Rocbattle and learned how to battle and sell beats on that site. Its cool cause they have monthly tourneys for the top battlers for the month. Winner gets $500-$1000 cash and other prizes. Over the years I am a top 5 seller on that site and got like 2000+ leases sold on that site alone. If you are good at making beats and battling them.. that alone gets you recognition and sales. If you are a top battler.. you get exposure.. then beat buyers will come buy your tracks. All people on here like to battle. Its like $13 a month for a gold or whatever membership. That gets you 400 beat slots for selling beats.. and you battle and earn a spot in tourneys. They also have buy in tourneys and other stuff. Last month I was in a 100% free "staff cash" battle. It was the 1st one of its kind on the site, and I won $50 that the staff members just put up. It was rated as the best battle on the site that month.. and if you get into a good battle. you can earn $50 for free. There are mad ways to get exposure and sell beats and battle and make money. I will post my links too so yall can check it out.

Front page www.Rocbattle.com my name is "The Basement" and yall can see that I have 2000+ sales.

Staff Cash Battle link... http://rocbattle.com/staff_cash.php and again.. my name is "The Basement"

Tourney link.. there is a tourney every month.. you can win either $500 or $1000 in a free entry as long as you earn a top spot in the 64 members who battled that month. If you battle 5+ times and earn a spot in the top 64, next month you will be entered into a tourney and have the chance to win. Here is the 1st tourney they ran.. and again my name.. haha "The Basement"
http://www.rocbattle...ament.php?tid=1

Now... if you are a "nobody" in the game and want to earn your way up to earn money and clients. I suggest signing up. I do not own the site.. and I do not earn anything for referring anyone. I just wanted to tell yall how to really get in some good battles and earn some dough. Im trying to show some battlers.. where the real battling goes on. You can select the "genre" and battle someone in a genre battle.. or you can just battle a str8 up anything against anything and see who wins. Its fairly easy to win too. I got like 90% winning on there and always get in tourneys. Also.. I dont promote and make $300-$400 every month off my $13 investment. Check it out if yall are into selling beats and battling. They go hand in hand there.

PEACE!
