I was thinking Kanye and him would do a collab becuas of this.

I was thinking maybe Kanye had no idea who he was, but it turns out he does, of course, and likes him.

So, another wierd thing for Kanye to do... I mean going up on stage was funny, but the rant was a little much.

he knows what he's doing -- i'm willing to bet this was all a grand scheme for Kanye just to get Beck to collab with him...he obviously can't be taken very seriously on his own merit, so what better way to stir the pot than by getting the public involved by orchestrating yet another "Grammy moment".

(which, btw, is hilarious that CBS actually got its moment after shamelessly teasing it the entire night; but since it wasn't their intentions, they have to now denounce Kanye's actions for some reason)

i mean, with that cringy fucking Paul McCartney collab and the even cringier Paul McCartney/Rihanna collab, it seems as if Kanye's trying desperately to reinvent himself as another one of these guys that has transcended hip-hop into rock & roll or something...so it's not that much of a stretch to assume he's very interested in working with Beck, but his severe autism keeps him from interacting with people in a healthy, normal way.

Kanye's like the insecure cool guy from elementary school; the only way he knows how to express himself is through his obnoxious narcissism, so even if he's trying to befriend you he's gotta publicly embarrass you first or else he thinks the rest of the class will start making fun of him.  i mean, what do we really expect at this point?  he's clearly got some Asperger's shit going on in his brain, look at this failed pilot for an HBO series he was going to co-write/direct/produce and star in.

it's based heavily on Curb Your Enthusiasm; but whereas Larry David and co. are amazing enough actors to improvise entire scenes and still be funny, Kanye has about as much raw acting talent as Robin Williams does now in his burial plot.  the entire joke of the scene is that this goofy Make-A-Wish publicist doesn't take Kanye seriously enough...how fitting.  this is the guy's fucking sense of humor, people: every punchline literally ends with the message "it's funny because i'm better than you".

Yo are you serious? It could've been literally anybody (but Beyonce) on that stage and he would've had the same reaction. He wasn't angry because Beck won the award, he was angry that Beyonce didn't. The common factor between this incident and the whole Taylor Swift episode was Beyonce's defeat. It's not that hard to put two and two together. I'd chalk it up to poor impulse control and not some grand scheme. Now, as far as why he's so aggressively defensive of Beyonce's "artistry" is beyond me.

Also, if Kanye wanted to work with Beck, he would just do so. Kanye's worked with Paul McCartney, Elton John, Daft Punk, Rick Rubin etc etc etc and you think he'd get cold feet reaching out to Beck? I can't understand why you'd just overlook the fact that Kanye West is one of the most influential (and most important, regardless of talent/personal taste/whatever) pop musicians in the business right now.

Caught this in my local newspaper. Not sure if cringeworthy or funny shit... Possibly a subtle mix of both.

Hip hop has done nothing but turn me into a racist. Everything it stood for has been violated. Willfully so. You used to have to respect it-like MC Lyte, Rakim and the modest sums they were making and then it became something totally different.

Now it is nothing more than a springboard into an acting career. Common having his voice all over commercials and singing cringe-worthy verses at the oscars. Yuck. They don't care about helping anyone. The music is mainly inartful. There was a formula "Bomb Squad" and "Mantronix" to sampling, but look at the utter shit that is music today.

None of them could make serious Christian music. Something meaningful and inspiring. Who in their right mind would boost rappers to the actor role?

A pathetic standard Is being reached in this country. I blame it on British women. They always wear those white woman weaves and try to dress in more urban fashion.

This is a rant. I don't know any of these 'artists'. Who knows what they are like. Illuminatus will kill them.
