Wonder if they'll be doing another album, seriously one of the coolest recent combos.
The vid for Vodka is bananas.

Sucks that Oh No threads are so dead compared to other ST-related artists -- and that's If he gets a thread at all. I've preferred Oh No hip-hop beats over Lib's for the last few years and maybe even longer mostly because of the
HOT FIRE, I think.

Madlib's Jazz offerings are fanfuckingtastic though, so I still dig him slightly more overall.

There's no need to compare them musically, but Madlib and others get slurped like it's July 11th at 7-Eleven while - - - Oh No probably has to put a stamp on his sack to get in on some of that action. That's what I'm getting at.

Oh No and Alchemist make FIRE on a regular, I havent seen any thin new on Oh No since the Disrupted Ads thread and I just recently came across these tracks on youtube so I was hype cuz come on its OH NO and ALCHEMIST. But I get what your sayin tho cuz I see alot of threads that have no association with Oh No, but this this section of the board mainly alerts us of new shit ST artist are or might be putting out. This is actually on the ST website tho

Here: http://www.stonesthr...-ohno-alchemist

IDK if its been a thread before, It probably wasn't as hype as "Yessir Whatever" or the Madlib and Freddie Gibbs tracks. Anyway this shits DOPE and Im hype

Madlib is legendary but I'd somewhat agree with this sentiment as well.

So have you actually checked out all of the Gangrene projects that Oh No and ALC have put out...?

There are two albums and three EP's plus a slew of separate tracks too.

You need to check them all if you havent already!! Probably my favourite collab of the last few years... especially the Vodka & Ayahuasca album, Oh No was on a creative high on that album! Production is nuts!!!

Cheers!

There have been multiple Gangrene threads in the six or seven years they've been making music together. And all the threads were pretty hype. Don't front, Oh No gets mad love on these boards.

If you need help looking for old threads just go to google and enter: 'STMB' 'Gangrene' and it will pull up a bunch of different threads.

Gangrene project got a lot of love here but didn't seem like as much for Disrupted Ads which was a decent release imo.
Probably the fault of the label who put it out though, promotion for that project was pretty weak it seemed like

I only found out about Disrupted Ads about a week before it dropped, and only because someone around here had mentioned it.

Yo I didn't even know anything of the Oh No and Alchemist projects, and never really was interested in finding out until recently. Im not sayin Oh No doesn't get love on the boards I just haven't seen any since the Disrupted Ads like I said, and I've only been on the boards for a couple years so if they've been puttin shit out for 6 or 7 years then I wasn't made aware of it. Im just sayin that the shit was new to me

Stumbled upon this. I am ashamed as our local Oh No authority that I didn't get on this sooner. Also I consider myself well-versed in all-things Alchemist from the past 18 months.

Before I contribute, it's worth noting that the track 'Run It' posted above may be one if not Gangrene illest shit. Michael Jackson on the beat of course.

1.
http://youtu.be/2V-nb74NGXo

I attempted to transcribe Oh's first few bars and gave up. Dude is so slept on as an MC. By the second album Alc had stepped up his bars significantly as well.

2.
http://youtu.be/o1iOuybIkf0

Not the illest shit off the Greneberg EP (Gangrene + Roc Marciano AKA Marcberg) but it 's the only track on there with all three dude's spitting. Best track on this EP would be right here.

BONUS:

http://youtu.be/CMHjCcyQ4o0

Not sure that it gets iller than this. I put it as a bonus because there is definitely a difference between Alc featuring Oh No and Gangrene. not to mention this is 3 DOPE AS ALL HELL tracks looped into one. If you're not up on this yet; you're welcome.

Oh god don't bring up the Wonka beats. I want them so fucking badly and we'll never get them. 2 are up on Bandcamp here but I doubt we'll ever see them. I begged him to drop them and he laughed.

Oh No has mentioned in a couple of recent tweets that a new Gangrene project is in the works! I can't wait for more shit from these two!! Defs my favourite production duo out now.

And, I've only just realised that there was an intro track to The Odditorium EP!

My download must have been fucked up when I originally DL'd it when it dropped cos I always thought there were just the 4 tracks. A nice cool trippy intro sets it off perfectly!! haha.

Peace!

Awesome news...

“Busy” is an understatement when it comes to Alchemist and Oh No, the two producers behind Gangrene. The duo is fresh off the year-plus-long grind of helping to create the first-ever score for GTA V, and both have some big projects in the works on their own. But they also revealed in a recent interview with XXL that they’ll be collaborating on another project, their third full-length as Gangrene and the followup to 2012′;s Vodka & Ayahuasca.

“We have a record on one of the [GTA V radio stations],” Alchemist said. “We have a new Gangrene song that’s on there from the upcoming Gangrene album, which is coming soon. We dropped a joint called ‘Bassheads.’”

The track can be found on the game’s main radio station, Radio Los Santos, which is hosted by the voice of L.A. radio DJ Big Boy. ”I don’t know if we can give up too much; it’s definitely getting cooked as we speak,” added Alchemist. “We were creeping off, working on things while we were doing things for [GTA V], but since the 17th [the day the game dropped], it’s been full speed as far as getting stuff done. So we’re back at it, [but] don’t wanna give up too much.”

Oh No also produced three tracks on Danny Brown’s Old, and is working on Talib Kweli’s upcoming album Gravitas. Alc, for his part, his upcoming collaborative projects with Boldy James and Evidence due out in the next few months. “We got a couple more projects coming out the top of the year,” Alc said. “Hey man, we gotta keep the discography nice and chunky.”

The duo also spoke about doing additional voiceover work for the game, a la Danny Brown’s turn as a lifeguard by the beach, a screen grab of which can be found below. Alc, for his part, said he hasn’t been able to find the characters he and Oh No voiced in the game as of yet.
