That's good but it feels a bit like "heard it before". I want to hear more tho.

I got the flexidisc at the SXSW showcase. Really good stuff. They nailed the lo-fi aesthetic on I'm To Blame and I love the drum machine(?). It actually reminds be a bit of early Kraftwerk.

Yah it was the hot shit so I listened. Real cool, melodic, nice textures. Looking forward to full release.

loving it as well. I always wondered how long it would take ST to sign a hazed-out lo-fi surf-pop type band. But yeah, may have to cop the 45 to hear that B-side.

Or maybe just drip.fm it.

The B-Side is dope but 'I'm to Blame' is definitely the winner. I've replayed this record maybe 70 times since I bought the one copy my local shop ordered for the store this past Tuesday.

Advanced digital/physical orders up now. Wish it was on drip.fm!

still rocking I'm to Blame, and even though it's still the most exciting of the previewed tracks definitely still looking forward to this.

This style/album makes me think of Broadcast's Tender Buttons Lp, only more chill...

amazing stuff. sadly missed out on the 45 on Juno. Is it being restocked/repressed? Do I need to get my skates on in searching for another copy? Thanks y'all!

no dis to Boardwalk at all, but they are no Broadcast. You're talking about a band who had a brilliant 10 years of recording. Lots of bands like Broadcast have clear influences and inspirations, but what Broadcast did with them was so artful and unique. Their influences never changed - you always knew what era Broadcast was exploring - and yet the sound of each album changed over their 10 years of releases. I guess you could say they're both "chill" but that's pretty vague. They really don't sound much like each other outside of the most general of descriptions, which would lump them both in with Mazzy Star and dozens of other 'chill' bands with female vocals.
