... off topic, but just listening to this Pete Rock Episode on The Combat Jack Show and Jack says "shout out to Madlib RIP" (at 56:18), and I laughed, but then... wait... he's mistaken right? got to be.

Yeah, I think that's what happened. Sure hope so.

Dude needs to get his Dilla/The Madlib card revoked. That's like that Crate Diggers show putting up a pic of J. Rocc and calling him The Madlib.

I think it's longer than the 79 minutes the packaging states as well.  I ripped both my vinyls to digital, edited out all silence in between tracks, and then converted it into a single long track.  It runs about 89 minutes, otherwise this thing couldve been burnt on 1 cd.

Any word on who did the illustrations? I could be wrong but I'm guessing its someone other than JJ. I kind of get the feeling that the same person did The Pill Jar cover as well.

The answer is Basil Wolverton. I know this because I was a huge Mad Magazine fan as a kid. The dude drew some of the ILLEST stuff in Mad history (or just history in general, he was insanely talented), but died in the late 70's. Sorry JJ if this was not supposed to be revealed explicitly, go ahead and delete this.

BUT I have a feeling that Mickey Mouse ripping his face off from the Part 1 LP is the same guy who did the Pill Jar Sunny, though it doesn't seem to have made it to the CD

Basil Wolverton.

Wow, thanks for this, I just googled him and he did some super crazy art.

I thought those drawings in the booklet looked like trippier versions of some of Barry McGee aka Twist's stuff but now I see where he got his influence from.

Loving part 2. I was really hoping for that stereo lab beat he has been playing recently to be on it. There was a tinny snippet near the beginning of side 3.

Looks like it's available for streaming now, awesome. It's weird seeing where the beats technically end/the names for them. The radio dude on Far Faust is awesome lol

I think this is probably my favorite BK record now (at least for now lol) Almost enjoying this as much as Pinata

One of the great madlib releases. really delivering on my desire for another perfect beat tape. It kills me that it won't get more press. Deserves all the hype of Cocaine Piñata!

Sadly the only reason it got that hype/press is because of Freddie Gibbs  :(

Ah, I'm not a big enough fan (just unfamiliar, he's before my time I guess) to recognize his voice/etc but all those samples are awesome lol
