Heard both pieces of vinyl and the 7" but somehow the CD is what I'm looking forward to hearing #wtf

I love RK2, but I'm itching for the 14 bonus tracks as well.

Is there something different on the 7 inch?

I think all the tracks off of the "45" appear on part 2.

Nah, that New Orleans style beat (The Mad March) isn't on RK 2. Also noticed a snippet of a (ringing bell beat) he played at his Boiler Room set that I hope is on the cd.

Less than $25.00 but still pricey.

RK2 LP arrived to me in NZ yesterday, happy they are supporting the fans by sending early.

Like you guys I'm a little salty about the fact that buying 45 and the 2 LPs doesn't get me all the tracks.

Been spending way too much on vinyl this year but I know I'll be getting that OVWAT 10" when it drops and probably the Jonwayne even though I have all the cassettes.

Sums up why The Madlib is my favorite living musician. Its obvious Otis is getting better and better with time like a fine wine.

His music boosts my creativity from 10 to 11 times. I wish he released more of his music more regularly. I'm missing his "jazz" but can't wait for the unexpected.

Getting anxious. Did anybody order the CD too? Are those shipping early as well from Rappcats?

I did, and I got an email saying my order was completed. Not sure if that means they've sent it or not though. I pushed the boat out and got the RK2 LP, CD & Piñata beats LP too. Had to sell 2 Roots albums I never listen to so I could afford it. Anyway I'll be happy if I see the package in the next 2 weeks, seems they usually take that long to get here.

kinda sucks, no? I just can't understand the deal with self-confessed vinyl obsessives putting more tracks on the CD than the LP. Dick move.

Can't help but miss the days of the free jukebox 45s. The ones that came with Beat Konducta 2 & Beat Konducta in India have some of my favourite tracks on them.

They did the opposite for the medicine show series. Goat a whole 12" instead of a 7". Things change I guess.

Yeah but they didn't come free though. Still, I bought 'em anyway!

Can anyone confirm or deny if those couple beats on that PBW ST Podcast from a few years ago appeared on the album, whether LP or CD? Now that I think about it that was truly the first 'announcement' of the RK series.

BTW, I'm listening to it now and the first track from the RK 45 is near the beginning of Side 3. And the last track from the 45, which is also on MMS 11 I believe, is the last track on Side 3.

Yes lmao BOTH of them appear on the LPs. First one's on side b of part 1, second one's...somewhere.

it's so weird. I remember listening to them on that podcast, and REALLY scratching my head. I hardly got it at all. like "ehhh madlib's going out on a limb here... These are all atonal and not melodic and jarring and weird" and now I am straight addicted to the RK, it has grown into quite possibly my favorite BK release. I remember those tracks did not get much love at all on these boards, other than the speculation masturbation.

that was the same podcast with Avalanche and Victory Laps. When asked about RK, JJ said soon after that it was still basically just an idea that Madlib had and we'd probably not see it for a long while. STILL got it long before MV2.

I ordered CD also and got nothing, that was a good idea on their end (for profit sake), put the extra 14 on the cd but ship the vinyl first and then the ones who got the vinyl only will most likely buy the CD too, even if all of them dont, most of them will... just sucks for those who dont fuk wit CDs

All tracks on the LP are the same as the CD.
How do I know? I wrote to rappcats and asked:
We’re due to clarify that.  Actually the two CDs are the same as the two LPs.  We never sweated much about the exact number of tracks on the LPs since they didn’t yet have titles.

But should I still buy the cd...
