??

I thought the point of the post was that Michael Bay could not provide a presentation without the teleprompter...

I don't know. All I know I'd he looked stupid. Like his movies. God I hate his movies. Why does someone who basterdizes classic franchises continue to get the Hollywood greenlight?

Well just like Michael Bay Obammy the Pres is not so good at speaking engagements without the teleprompter...that was the point I was making.

You make great points. I had to look the dude up...that dude is a wanker.

As a kid who played with a transformers, I hated what he did to the franchise. Now he has he hands on the TeenAge Mutant Ninja Turtles. Michael Bay?! More like Michael Gay! Haha. Ermmm.

Michael Bay did it.
I don't know man, he has a good asthetic, but as he said, "he makes movies for teenage boys". Just sayin. Lts agree at least he is no Orsen Welles. His style is slick visuals, lots of explosions. I ain't hatin.

Haha, dude I totally agree with you about the Transformers/TMNT stuff. I'm not going to support those. Honestly, if he had stuck to his more adrenaline fueled, dude-bro punch fests movies I'd definitely respect him a lot more, but he cashed in on something that he gutted and kept rolling with, unfortunately.

Whatever man, he has a style which works, its just when he fucks with something that is as classic and priceless as these other franchises. Me no likey. And to be honest, he strikes me as a bit of a douche.

Definitely douche-status. Also, he's not the right guy for TMNT at all, especially botching the original comic storyline. The closest we're ever gonna get to that was the original live-action film. I wish someone would approach that again but with a little less camp and cheese. The original comic was so much more "adult" so it would be interesting to see a film approach it that way, but executives are worried about franchise, toys, etc.

Yah man, same reason George Lucas never killed off Han Solo, as was originally written and why that franchise became more of a hokey thing vs a great story. Merchandising is most effective on the kids. Sucks because it could have been an all time, true classic if the story had gone a bit darker.

I just read that JJ Abrams, and one of the main writers split for the new Star Wars. Said writer thought it should concentrate on the offspring of Luke, Han and Leah. But JJ wants it to focus on Luke, Han and Leah. To me, JJ is just one step away from Michael Bay. He has a predictable visual look and ... Well, he is ok, but not great IMO. They should have got Speilberg. He is the man.

Have you ever seen his Tin Tin?? Wow, what a flick! I think they could have done something like that, near all digital, just make the actors look real, and not cartoony. Anyhow, I just hope Hollywood does not fuck up this new Star Wars as it has so much potential.

SHIT don't get me started on the SW universe. The only thing I have bright hopes for out of the Disney deal is a theatrical DVD/Blu Ray release of the original trilogy. Then we could all watch them untouched and forget anything else (including massive extended universe ridiculousness) ever happened.

I know, it'll never happen. But apparently the theatrical reels DO still exist in good condition and Lucas didn't bury them in his backyard howling at the moon.

Nah, just the original, non-Special Edition versions. I know people have VHS versions of them (and probably Laserdisc?), but they'll probably never be on DVD or Blu-Ray
