Just to address this really quickly. Sampling can be considered negative when viewed in that light regardless of who it is you're sampling or what it is you're sampling. If ppl shouldn't sample Lee Hazlewood then ppl shouldn't sample the platters either, or Jimmy Hendrix, or James Brown. It's an affront to the memories of those ppl, and to their music because you're taking a part of something someone composed with a live band and abusing the fuck out of that little chunk of history. If you think like this, then don't complain about one or two samples, complain about sampling in general. A sound wave can be manipulated into a multitude of different patterns and waves if you know how to properly sample, chop, and edit your samples. In that way, it doesn't matter what you're sampling, the only thing holding you back is the limits of your imagination and musical hearing/training. That seems to be what your problem is. It looks like tonnes of ppl have had no problem sampling these tracks, and sure not all of them are amazing, but the fact of the matter is that it can be done, and i've personally heard several beats that i like. Now we can all side with you, or actually enjoy ourselves by understanding that this is not a popularity contest whatsoever. It's just a way for beatmakers to communicate through music, and maybe even collaborate. Don't be a bitch. Ppl here don't respect that, and chances are even if you put a beat into the competition, we'd probably not like it, not because we don't like you, but because it probably would suck major balls.

...so are you saying you love the beat battles? i'm confused, please write another angry paragraph to explain
okay, so why are you on here? i'm befuddled about your tirade...you bitch and moan because nobody's feeling your whack beats, but you provide nothing as far as solutions go to fix your perceived problem that apparently only you have. usually when people are disgruntled, they have a good reason for it instead of "wah wah wah you guys are fags for liking good music wahhhhh fuck you guys"...i mean talk about immature. this isn't Ms. Frizzle's class you idiot, it's a well-respected far-reaching community of beat makers all putting in work every week to improve their skills, not be lauded and patted on the ass by each other every time we make something. if you wanna talk about how much we suck, go do it in the "Talk" section- here, i even made you your very own thread:
have fun...oh, and btw- this isn't the vote. if you read the rules or put any effort into what you do here, you'd realize that voting is on a different thread two days from now. i pity your idiocy, and prescribe that you fuck off.
