STAY LOOSE. DO GIVE ENERGY TO NEGATIVITY.
THIS IS A REALLY INTROSPECTIVE FORUM.
U ARE NOT A DOPE PRODUCER, AND THE SAMPLES U CHOSE WERE WHACK.

Nah it's not because Lee Hazelwood is a legend, That's not what I was implying.. I'm saying who the fuck flips ancient country? His voice is way monotone to un-versatile to sample.Although franky managed to.. One of about 40 beats I've heard that haven't sucked
the way i see it, no matter how "whack" or bizzare the sample may be, the fact that someone can make something sound good from it, that's the beauty of the whole thing.. you toss a sample out there and get a shit load of renditions and i think that's one of the most unique and awesome things about the beat battles. if someone wins and puts out a seriously bizzare sample then i think that's great practice for anyone who wants to get better at sampling music. remember that "beak" sample from #301? that was just pure constant noise that made me cringe to listen to. AND the rule was that you had to make it recognizable in your beat. but a bunch of different people made something great out of it and in my opinion that's what makes these beat battles so great, the fact that people can take a very strange sounding song and turn it into something i can bob my head to.

And if your even more daring.. His Youtube channel..
Apparently, he's a big fan of Controbuz. Got more of those songs than his own.

To the guy complaining and whining....go bother an MPC forum or something. jesus.
Posted 13 March 2013 - 04:35 PM
Lol... I'm not arguing with you because your all over the place and butt hurt about something you take WAY WAY too serious... Here's some wisdom for you, little man. LIFE IS FUN! If you take it too seriously, then your beliefs will eventually kill you and everything around you. I see a lot of folks having fun in these battles and I enjoy that. So, yes!! FUCK OFF!!

The whining started here...
Regardless of Lee Hazlewood being one of the best singers of all time, You just don't flip his shit, Because it won't fit the right context of what hip hop, or this retarded glitch hop scene would fit with.. I don't care how abstract you get. And the japanese pop nonsense has drums throughout the whole thing which are WAAAAY too high in BPM to chop unless you made some fucking dungeon -16 time stretch shit with lame trap hi hats that so many morons do with everything, that already sounds the same. Stupid. I don't participate in this contest 98% of the time because you guys are TERRIBLE at choosing samples. There have been a FEW decent samples chosen in here. And usually the shit I find the least entertaining wins because you retards are appealed to tacky BS flying lotus or j dilla would make.

Your good man. Your shared with the soundcloud group. That's all you really need to do. Posting on here is optional. The voting thread should be up soon.

My first STBB beat
I'd very much like to hear some criticism. More than knowing what's good in my flip, I'm interested in what's not.
I'm a green leaf making my first steps...
I've heard some dope stuff here. Already learned quite a bit.
Thank you. It's a great community.

Let’s respect each other. No hate. Make beats. Have fun.
I was a little disappointed to see these negative posts... I’m not used to that!
By the way. I’m new here so - Hi everybody!
