"but is that small mixer all you got to connect all that shit ?"

Yeah, I just have the 12 channel mixer, but most of the time I just use one box a beat anyway. I'll track it in the computer and then if I want to add stuff I just record straight into the computer instead of another machine. Thanks though... I've thrown away a lot of money and my wife still hasn't left me. HA! But, when she met me she knew I was already like this.

nice fucking set up durty i dont seem to recall you ever posting your set up on the old board, you keeping all that shit secret homey?

Yeah I've posted up pics before. I remember asking you about that Ivory you have in one of the previous "Post pics of your set up" way back on the ollld board. And I'm not keeping that secret but muthafukas gotta have some secret weapons y'know

yikes!!! nice set up..... i bet it's dead fun making beats surrounded by all that. how many lp's do you reckon you've got hold of there?

I prob got about 3000 give or take 1000. There is a lot of crap in there. But I like making beats out of crap so it all works out.

I don't produce so my set up is decks, records, guitar and amp. One day I'll have me a decent little studio!

if questlove touched the lead pipe i am sure i'd not only have more credibility, but a high bidder ebay auction.

hey, scabs........how often do u have to service that lindrum? is it true that maintenance is a biatch or it doesn't matter cuz it takes a long time before you need service on the unit?

buy what you can afford, as has been said many times before, you can have all the kit in the world, but if you ain't got an ear/skillz, then it really don't matter. I'm not sayin my beats are any good, but i manage to make stuff between my £50 turntables and mixer, my £10 amp, my £50 zoom sampletrak, and a cracked version of cubase.

Posted Image

so i see you also have that zoom sampletrak. i got one cheap on ebay like 3 or 4 years ago, but i never really bothered learning it. is it any good? should i pick it up again? ;)

but damn, it sure was hard finding that 16mb smartmedia card (which is the biggest it'll accept..)!

I've never serviced it but I probably should.

I got it for $80 at a garage sale and I could've got it for like $40 but I felt bad (STUPID!)... I remember it was the day of the superbowl like 2 years ago and I had to work and I was walking to the bus stop and I saw it and I was like oh shit.... I'm gonna miss my bus.... FUCK IT (I knew this was a once in a lifetime thing) so to make a long story short, was late to work, got home, and instead of watching the superbowl I scrubbed that caked on dust off and air cleaned the inside.

HERES THE THING: it doesnt start up when I turn it on. I have to flick the two switches on the sides twice alternating then I have to bang on it with a fist twice really hard and it turns normal. If I dont its like the programming keeps firing off the kick snare and ride samples CONSTANTLY.

So I should find someone to service instead of searching for eprom samples.
