The good honest NEGATIVE feedback thread..

Sometimes people are too polite when giving feedback on your tracks, in real life, or on Soundcloud.
But some of the best feedback you can get is when people tell you what they don't like about your track.
With that in mind, please:
* Listen to the most recent track posted in this thread
* Give feedback on what you think is the WEAKEST aspect of the track
* Then post a recent track of your own for feedback...
* Expect blunt feedback, don't be sensitive!
......and so on....
I'm hoping this thread can become a useful place to get quick, blunt feedback.
I guess I'll get the ball rolling..

The track im posting is something I been sitting on for a while because I wasn't really sure about it, I'd like some critique/thoughts

That track above "The Deep Dark". Love the vibe and the very slightly wonky beat. I prefer the end section to the beginning because I'm not crazy about the vocal chops. Is it Lisa Stansfield?
Actually, I like the voice, but the chops are very abrupt and too "choppy". I much prefer when chops walk the line between sounding chopped and sounding organic. I also think you should cut it down to around 3 minutes and drop out the drums in the middle somewhere, just to maintain interest and keep things dynamic. It's real nice though. Reminds me of Onra.
OK next up..

Thought I would add to this thread since it seems like a really good idea. For that beat you posted, there really wasn't a lot of negatives i could hear haha, so I guess that's a sign that your game has reached a certain benchmark of overall "illness"...but as far as illness goes, there's several different levels (kinda like the 9 layers of hell). While the beat was pretty catchy and the chops were all on-point and everything, I feel like it might be a little similar stylistically to this whole Brainfeeder-type sound a lot of us are going for these days...so even though the beat was "ill", it wasn't necessarily attention-grabbing or different enough to stand out amongst all of the other beats going after a similar vibe.
Hope that helps...but here's my track. I made it like two weeks ago and sent it to the Youtube channel Dead End Hip Hop...I'm hoping they'll put it on their fan-made comp/tape thing they're doing sometime soon, but idk haha...anyway, here's the track.
