ive been producing for about a a couple of months now with just reason 5 and a korg microkey im thinking of getting some other equipment like a sampler
The most ive been hearing about is the SR and the MPC
What would be the best thing to get cos ive heard alot about producers using mpc 2000 and others using 3000 and what not.
what does everyone thing of the mpc and sr which would be the best?
im thinking of getting a synth aswell so some advice for that aswell would be good.

Well, its common here in hiphop boards to hear people talk about SP &MPCs but to be honest, I only use my MPC for it's preamps, choping drums, and stacking them. I like to work really fast, so if you like that sort of workflow, go with the SPs. I used to swear by the SP303 (before I even learned Madlib used it) but I grew out of it. I mostly use it as an effects processor now. The Vinyl Compressor is perhaps the most OVERUSED effect of the 2000s, even over Autotune.
