not sure what ya mean by
'your beat must include an intro/verse/chorus/bridge/outro (in what ever order you wish)'

do you mean the verse, chorus and bridge can be in any order? if so i'm glad you've removed the 2min limit haha

Im hoping people will be able to structure their beats so theres a distinct part that sounds like the verses, chorus, bridge (breakdown..) obviously the intro and out comes at the start and the end.
This will allow people to work on adding variety and a bit of structure to the beat rather then just a straight loop. Hope that helps?

Congrats. Nice gif ;)

PS: Are you sure that these Vocals run at 75 BPM? This was either recorded to a crazy off beat or double tempo style beat, or the flow is just odd somehow. Is downbeat located at the "BACK in the day", or where is it? I'm having real troubles with aligning the vocal and finding a groove here :(

Congrats on the win!
Well deserved IMO.

Props for the new rules.
I guess the idea is to encourage people to push themselves, and make more complete, finished arrangements.

Word on the rules SFT! These beat battles are all about challenging yourself and focusing on different aspects of production, I think a lot of cats will benefit from this one, good challenge to me personally.

Aight cool i'll get in touch with him. Seriously tho, good job with actually updating the finalist archive, I imagine it would take a bit of effort if youre working full time.

thanks alot to the people who commented on my question last battle, i think im about to go pick up the mashine... i was leaning towards the mpc because i know the sound quality comes out better but all in all anything can bang with the right mixing, compression, etc... in the long run im sure this will improve my game.. i was mostly wondering how this program differs from any other digital program, aside from having a controller that comes with it, because i was also considering just buying a akai mpd but im tired of fl studio i want somehting new. i guess theres only one way to find out and if im not satisfied ill save up and try to cop a mpc online. peace hopefully i can join this week

Cool holmes, good choice, it changes yourwork flow completely, go check out some vids on the site and have a look on youtube. you could use it as a vst in another program aswell, you also have a sp1200 engine an mpc60 on it so it sounds pretty raw and amazing when using these, sound wise it's better, as you have the option of the SP tone.
