I need an Earl feature on that new Murphy album besides Between Villains.

I'm thirsty for something like Between Friends again.

Not really feeling that track. A little on the scary side.

Badass, not as good as Between Villains (that track is fucking amazing and better be on the album) but this is still awesome imo.

Edit: It's funny, Between Villains has been my new song to test bass on new speakers/headphones lately

Is all over Duality, but it's less him spending sing songy in delivery, but more in post production knob tweaking.

Here's some sing songy action for yah doe. LA, still in dah houuuuse.

uggghh that's rough man. Captain Murphy should not defer to anyone!

No album because Kendrick recorded over the Captain beats and they may never see the light of day anyway?!

that's just silly.

Yeah I'm gonna be bummed if no second Captain Murphy album or if it gets seriously delayed because of this. They should at least put out a Between Villains/Cosplay 7"

I hear you man, I was pissed they never put out a Between Villains 7" like they did with City. Get someone to properly mix DOOM's verse and it's ready to go. nice art and everything.

I guess Rappcats just took the initiative on that one. Does Captain Murphy have an official tie to a label? I guess it's brainfeeder. brainfeeder dropped the ball on the 7" potential.

Funny, I was having the same thought back then. Figured since City was getting a 7" there would be another one for that track. I know they released a pretty limited version of Duality on wax (fortunately bought this back then before price spiked up) and there wasn't any mention of Brainfeeder there (prob to avoid legal crap with samples/etc) -- Would imagine releasing a 7" for that track would have been safe though for Brainfeeder

Uhh...he should have more control over that type of stuff. smh

What I'm saying is I don't get why he would let someone rap on the beats that he intends to use for a different project.

Something isn't adding up

haha yes it's hard to imagine the exchange... He was given a beat tape with a bunch of the CM beats on it, Kendrick spontaneously raps over all the beats, and Flying Lotus is such a nice guy that he's like "nah, I mean they WERE for captain murphy, which was supposed to be getting released soon, but... well alright I dunno maybe I'll make figure something else out, let me know when you decide if you're gonna use them for something"

how many hundreds of tracks has K-Dot recorded at this point?  like seriously, i remember reading something that was discussing how he has taken the Dre "Detox" route and made a shitload of tracks that potentially will be on the next one...
