Honestly I have no preference to what s.t. does with o.f. but to anyone who for some reason is super fucking against it needs to get over the fact that stonesthrow is willing to fuck with them and the proof is in the pudding if you look hard enough. PB&W is not going to give a fuck what a bunch of "hip hop" obsessed, crazy fuckheads are going to think about the situation. If it's a smart business move, and Chris is with the O.F. movement, my guess is you will be hearing collaborations from them weather you like it or not. so there's no point in crying over your keyboards while you paste reaction images from basketball players faces to hate on something you can't and won't ever be able to control. I guess it's good to express your feelings or opinions. But to fucking fight about it is immaturity on another level.

lol in a sense. and don't get it twisted like, i'm not trying to be standing up for the group but like it sucks to see homies arguing about shit whilst going nowhere. it's like watching two people fight to the death but then the survivor gets left alone in the jungle to die.

Yeah, they're on Madgibbs. Jeff Weiss was at the session. He mentions it at the beginning of this article:

Are you referring to the "can you lend a nigga a pencil", "that's like an alarm clock...WO-WOO!" and other clips on vol. 5-6? Might be J. Rocc's work since he is listed as a featured producer.

I think it was mentioned on some interview that J. Rocc compiled all kinds of vocal samples on a burned cd and gave it to Madlib.... I didn't find this interview after a quick Google search so it could just be my false imagination. Or then it's on a video.
...just realised my memory was indeed a bit, just a bit, wrong there. I was actually thinking back to this JJ message from this topic about the text-to-speech samples:

View PostJJ, on 06 July 2009 - 10:10 AM, said:

correct.

madlib does not own a computer, never has, so this is something i did for him many years back -- he wrote a bunch of text, and some i added myself -- played it all on mac voice, burned to cd, and he's been chopping it up ever since.

So yeah. Oops. Nothing else to see here, move along....

yeah but he's been using those for like 10 years, i still think you are right about J. Rocc's role in mixing and adding all those youtube vocal samples for BK 5 and 6, can't be sure though, chime in JJ or Bot!!

Ima get crucified for this but I wouldn't hate an earl only guest verse on madgibbs. His first interview back he did on hot 97 seemed like he matured a lot while Tyler seemed to still act like an ADHD riddled two year old.

so what yall think about that captain murphy shit? even with some dope madlib production i just can't get into tyler. dude just has a weird vibe on the mic that i dont think blends really well this type of production. i honestly think hes more of an immortal technique type guy, but thats just me. i think the release is a cool concept, but it all seems to be turning into this weird hipster hip-hop agenda. its whatever but things are going in a weird direction and i have a hard time getting behind a lot of it. oh well

This would probably work better in the Charlie Murphy thread in the Talk section.

I totally agree with you though, I've avoided that shit like the plague. CM seems to be all about the schtick of 'who is he?'. I can understand that in this day and age you've kind of got to come with some gimmick to grab people's attention but this hipster hip hop shit is becoming quite irksome.

i dont know. i really just say hipster hiphop for lack of better term. its like odd future, the underachievers, jeremiah jae, brainfeeder stuff, knxweldge, flatbush zombies, joey badass?. its just like someone mentioned in another thread on here i think, it's that new age black hippy movement. idk i just associate all of them together in a weird sense, you know? i can still respect what they do though

odd future is fucking GAY. They got the most openly gay musicians in the history of the music industry. It's cool if you like that gay shit, I don't have a problem with it. TO ME PERSONALLY, I'm not down to hear dudes rap and sing about sucking cocks, its just not my style. ESPECIALLY over MADLIB trax. The motherfuckin GAY ICP. Their manager said personally that he took a page out of their marketing book. except his people are gay.
