Is it a picture disk? Also, a 5" is a strange size, so it might actually be more expensive to produce than a standard 7" or 12" (I could be wrong about this, just a guess though).

I'll probably still be grabbing it just for the artwork! lol

I hope to god that DOOM has more than what's on the snippet. I swear his verses have been getting shorter over the years (on guest spots). I'm gonna laugh if it's only a 40 second verse on the whole song.

I don't know what it cost Five Day Weekend to make these things, but it's true that a 5" record can cost more than a 7". Here at Stones Throw we did one for the first run of Mayer Hawthorne LP (video here -- plus one in the 1st run of CD's too) -- it was a real headache but I'm glad we did it.

Most people expect to pay nothing at all for music. For lovers of vinyl, $10 isn't too bad. I had a lunch yesterday that cost $10, and it was bad.

There's going to be two sets of covers for the Oh No/Doom track -- one where their images are on either side of the record, and the other where the images are superimposed like the image at the top of this topic. They'll both be up on ST website in a couple days.

Not that I mind paying for music.. I purchased the whole Med. Show series.. but $10 for a 5' is a little outrageous IMO. Plus shipping.. Looking like $15 to my doorstep.

A 5" record? Sounds like a nightmare of inner groove distortion - or at least a significant mastering challenge.

@scojo -- the mayer hawthorne one was recut several times. haven't heard the doom one yet, it's the label five day weekend pressing it.

apparently there is one with doom and ohno on either side and another with them both superimposed on top of each other?
