Just wondering if you have any plans on releasing FLAC files?

I want to support you guys directly by joining your subscription based music service but I can't listen to MP3s. They have a very limited dynamic range. I still buy vinyl and CDs for this reason.
Dap-Tone Records now offer FLAC files and they are great. I can now buy from there vinyl catalogue for home use and also get a digital copy for my iPhone which is of reasonable quality in comparison. It's great.

I think you are the best record label going round and love everything you do. I would just love to have the option and I think there are a lot of people who should here the recordings you release at the best quality available.

Agreed. I'd probably be happy at this point if ST even just acknowledged the existence of the lossless format...

Yes, I would love to see this. 16/44.1 FLAC would be great; 24/96 FLAC would be awesome, assuming that Stones Throw stuff is recorded in higher quality than Red Book.

Does anyone know how Stones Throw albums are recorded and mastered? I've always wondered if their vinyl is mastered from a higher resolution than CD source...

Damn, I was not aware they did it for those two. I just went ahead and got the CDs since times are tough, and I listen to more music away from my turntables these days anyway.

scojo I agree. I would love to now how Stones Throw LPs are mastered and output. Another reason I posted this thread.

ShirtReynolds that's the dilemma I have. I love listening to my records as I'm a collector but when I'm a work or in the car etc I want a digital file and MP3s just don't cut it.

Yeah I noticed they did a few times, really hoping this will become a standard though
I can't imagine it costing that much extra to put a piece of paper with a code in the sleeve

I'm sure finding a server to host all that information for cards that may or may not get used is where the money issue comes up.

gnome, you can download some st releases in wav-format via online stores such as www.junodownload.co.uk . there're hardly singles available 'though - just the newer ones.
