Aww yes! The record store I go to usually sells out all the reggae as soon as it hits the store, but luckily I bumped into it at the right time.

From the early 80s California, run of 500, the cover's put on with tape.

I bought my buddies whole collection a month ago and he hit me up yesterday and said I forgot one album. I went over and he handed me this Lloyd Price album he bought via the J Dilla Foundation. So its still got the certificate of authenticity and letter from Ma Dukes and its in a plastic bag with 'J Dilla Collection' sticker. I was psyched.

Damn, thanks for putting me on to this, Sunny. I didn't know you could buy these records from Dilla's collection on ebay, that's very dope. Probably the best way to support the foundation imo, better than all these limited edition stuff and they most likely get a bigger share of the benefits.

Really glad I jumped on those before they were all gone. Thanks again to you STMB cats, I wouldn't have known about the Dilla collection on ebay if it wasn't for this board.

I'm wondering if these "J.EL" writings on the front cover & label of that Meco LP were put the by Dilla himself... Most likely just the initials of the previous owner, but I'd really like to know.

just picked up a fat stack as big as I could carry from goodwill en gilas y muchos boleros y cumbias, músicas cubanas y puertorriqueñas. Lots of mariachi too, and a couple bossa nova joints. Seriously hit the gold mine of Latin ritmos and went up to pay, the dude smiled at me and only charged half price. Dope trip, I was just passing through idly after buying some brewskies, got massively lucky

also bought a collection of mostly early to mid 80s r&b/soul with some 70s joints sprinkled in (roy ayers change up the groove, marvin here my dear, curtis s/t, spaces and places, some new births, ohio players pleasure), pretty much all the good ones are doubles but some are cleaner than what i got, it was super cheap, and i can give copies to friends who don't have those records, plus i'll needle drop my way through all the 80s common stuff that i probably would pass on 99% of the time at a shop

Got a question.... what the hell do you do with all the shit records you buy? I got a stack of records I deem useless and I want to sell them, but I get scared that I might get so nasty at making shit in the future that i'll just be able to sample anything lol

make sure none are worth selling/trading (you decide what the desirability cut off is, like is it worth it to put a bunch of 5 dollar records up on discogs), advertise a (mostly)dollar sale on craigslist, take whats left to the goodwill

or find some local digger kids who would be happy to get a pile of records cause its still new to them

i have a pile of stuff that is for the most part trash but has sounds that could be useful i always plan to go through them one day and rip them to my computer then throw them away but i still have a pile of complete shit that is no use what so ever that just sits on a shelf, dont get bogged down with shit records is my tip

Got a bunch of Herb Alpert and some other records when I was in Baltimore last week. Was planning on hitting up a shop there that specialized in Black and Death metal records and tapes but they had moved to CA so I went to Tape Traders instead.
