So my birthday is coming up and I always have a hard time to come up with something for people that wanna give me a little something something. But this time I know what to wish for. A good sound card. I've always rolled with whatever junk my computer got. Everything else in my setup is decent so the only thing missing is a good sound card. I don't know much about these things so I thought it would be a good idea to post a topic about it. Give me your suggestions on what to buy. And why. Hit me!

YEAH! Don't ask people for this though man, they'll laugh at you! SOOOOOO expensive. If you get the M Audio you can just buy PROTOOLS M-POWERED, and even though it's slightly limited in comparison to the MBOX, you can still interchangaly use it with PROTOOLS HD&TDM. That's a wise Budget Investment indeed.

that one, the FIREWIRE 410, is $300.
FIREWIRE 1814 is $500.
The FireWire Audiophile is $170.
The MobilePre USB is $150.
and the FASTTRACK is $100... (one input for everything)
The FASTTRACK PRO is $250 (two inputs for everything)

BUT
if you get the MPOWERED package w/ the 410 its about $700

The MBOX2 mini is $300 but only has 1 set of xlr and stereo ins, but it comes w/ PROTOOLS

NOW HERES WHAT GETS ME:
if you buy the 410 and MPOWERED seperate its $600........

Does that sound like a fair deal to you? to me it sounds like they subtly try to rip you off.

HOPE THAT HELPED.... NOW PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
