Should be interesting. Like always, no expectations but at the same time keeping an open mind.

Yeah I'm the same way. I'm not sure how I feel about the tracks in the podcast, but I'm intrigued by the idea, and I'm curios to see how the entire album will sound, so I was hoping that someone had some more info on when this project might come out. ST Bot? JJ?

info, but not what you want to hear: it's unfinished and not at all scheduled for release of any kind.

haha even bad news is better than no news. we like to be informed. it is amusing to me that you got a response on rock konducta though, must mean it's almost non-existant. i would not be surprised if the tracks we've heard are (almost) all there is. seems like something madlib got inspired to do while working on Brain Wreck Show but hasn't dug into.

I think someone should break Madlibs fingers for even thinking about an album done with rock tracks.. Dont get me wrong Madlib is the man on the boards, but i just don't dig some of the over the top experimental shit he be dune. But once again that's just MY opinion.

Check yourself. Some of Madlib's best flips are from prog-rock records.

Maybe, but this to me sounds like a "ROCK" album and to me just like the reggae medicine show is not very bangin at all.... we'll see if its got the same feels as BK in INDIA. Cause if it sounds all "Rock" then not very interested. and Once Again respect my opinion instead of combating mine with other opinions... Prog-Rock equals Dope Samples because they break down into slow trance like chops after they speed up. But like i said we'll see, it sounds like A ROCK ALBUM.

Not anywhere did i say he flips rock tracks wack. im sayin bro, Rock konducta is a whole different genre than BEAT konducta your gonna be disappointed in what you think, its most likely not gonna sound like his old "flipped" prog-rock shit after hearing some of the new tracks. sounds like another experimental project for madlib, just like the reggae dub medecine show.

Ummmmm,

I didn't say that 'you did' say that Fam.....

I'm just saying that Ive come across a few prog joints where he killed it.....(OJ Simpson- 'Kill 'em' for example)

Sad part is ....we may never know how this project was going to turn out.....as per Mr Jank's reply......

Okay, I hear ya....and I agree...If i wanted an 'opinion' battle...I would go to 'okayplayer' instead.....

But let me play 'Devil's advocate' for a second....

(And quote me if I'm wrong...) You are saying that you feel as though that...if this project ever comes out....it would be like the previous Medicine shows (Reggae, Prog-Rock, jazz, etc...)

Now....what makes you say that? Why do you feel that 'this' would be that type of project?

Just curious.....

I'd like to hear Madlib do a Beat Konducta album with nothing but Progressive Rock samples. I really loved those beats on Before The Verdict (Kill 'Em, Future, Ode to the Ghetto) and among other albums.

There is no sense in trying to talk with Optic; but you're absolutely right Projexion.

I never judge an album until I've heard it in its entirety at least 3 times. I get more hyped or less hyped up for some, but never refuse to give it a listen. Besides, Rock Konducta may never be released so it hardly matters what our opinions are, or what we think about each others opinions.

HONESTLY... I'm down for this experimental fuckin' around type shit. And either way, Madlib, "Does what he feels. Can't worry about what people think." Besides I'm pretty sure he's had this planned for a min cuz in adult swim's day with madlib, he explains he only has release about 30% of the material he's made. Rock, Experimental all that shit.
