No York!

What y'all think?

My first thought: Warner Bros must be regretting their decision to sign Blu big time. Not only is this album all over the place sound wise (a big departure from Blu's sample-based previous work), but he also decides to release it for free—something big labels don't usually do and probably don't like.

Didn't realize he was signed to Warner. Looks like he might have a lawsuit on his hands if he in fact admittedly leaked it.

I really like the album. It's exactly what he said it would be. A collection of tracks produced by LA producers...
I think people still waiting for Below The Heavens 2 should open up... The album's not that strange compared to Johnson & Jonson or C.R.A.C.
Hope this is released on CD at some point... Situation is confusing.

I saw him perform at RTB this yr, after he performed he said he'd be selling copies for 5 bucks, is this what you guys mean?

also my homie saw him leaving turntable lab in LA a few days before RTB, turns out he dropped off 4 copies ["y" "o" "r" "k"] which my homie bought for $20 each..

so i dont think blu has anything to do with the album leaking.

he also threw out copies of it at RTB and he leaked it because Warner is indefinitely shelving the project and not giving it a release date

it wasn't authorized for him to give out copies to random people since they own the recordings

Yeah, this is what I've heard. There's all the talk about him giving out copies, but he himself also put it on Youtube for free supposedly. All the legit blogs, who usually don't up material unless they have the artist's consent, have all reported this.

As for the music, it's going to take some time for me. He's really gone down the electro-tinged, voice-manipulated path, which is dope, but at times I find myself dying for Blu to just break free of the album's haziness and spit a clean verse. I'm sure it'll grow on me, though.

Someone heard me blasting Jesus and thought it was Drake...
