I've been hooked to the two Best Worst TV Shows Ever.

Law & Order:SVU

Law & Order:Criminal Intent

C'heah!

Summed those shows up perfectly lol.

Couple of things I've run through recently:

The Modernism of Julius Shulman
Gunnin' For That #1 Spot (awesome camera work)
William S. Burroughs: A Man Within

All pretty solid documentaries on their respective subjects (if interested in any of the above people, I highly suggest all.) There's also a pretty good documentary on the Moog synthesizer if you haven't seen it yet.

Now for movies on instant that I've finally got around to:

Lenny (fantastic)
The Living Wake
My Name is Bruce
The Godson (one of the worst parodies ever, but I love it)
Slapshot
UHF
The Fighter

I enjoyed all of the above, worth a shot if you've run out of things to check out on instant.

Thought it would be a good time to bump this thread and post some recent streams...

Posted Image
*Sort of like a modern day Taxi Driver ....in the sense that if Travis Bickle strapped on plated body armor and went on a shooting spree. Can't say it was a great movie, but definitely ambitious.

Posted Image
*I forgot how much fun this movie is. Goldie Hawn in a fat suit ftw.

Posted Image
*This was a good coming of age flick about young thugs in 1972 Glasgow.

Posted Image
*Interesting true story about a man who apparently got away with killing his wife.

I know, right? Watched it back when I was a young lad when my parents used to watch it and obviously never understood it. Glad I took a chance on it again.

Other than that, I've been going Clint Eastwood ape-shit on there. Dirty Harry's 1, 3, and 5 are up, along with Play Misty For Me, The Gauntlet, and Every Which Way But Loose (among others, just haven't gotten around to them yet.)

TV show wise, just finished up Breaking Bad (unbelievably good), rewatched Louie, got all caught up on 30 Rock and Parks and Rec, just started Party Down and The IT Crowd. All are pretty solid sitcoms if that's your thing.

Also, anyone here see The Science of Sleep? I can't quite decide if I liked it or not, about halfway through the movie it becomes an absolute struggle to follow what exactly is going on. If anyone can discuss this with me and help me maybe figure out what I'm missing, that would be wonderful.

Reindeer Games.

I know the movie is kind of shit, but it has a lot of Christmas references which is exactly what I was looking for this week.

Just saw that went up. So it's worth it? Never really been all that wild about Fred Armisen, but I've been needed a new comedy since I finished Party Down. Will I still like it at all if I've never been fond of him?

I'm actually not familiar with Armisen's previous work so I couldn't tell you whether or not you'll enjoy it based on his past performances. The show is quite entertaining though. Give it a shot and let us know what you think.

Bump this thread need more suggestions.

I recently finished the animated Spider-Man from the 90's and was highly disappointed in how the series ended.

Watched this last night. Really fun watch. I'm a total civilian when it comes to game development...so it was a great look at how that world works and all the stress/quirky-personalities that come with it.

thanks for the suggestion b.
watched this earlier today and i was really impressed by the visuals.
design-wise, the cinematography is on point.
the dialog wasnt too nerdy either, so it doesnt ever really get boring.

I got a chance to catch Enter The Void in theaters and really liked it, though I think you can easily chop off 20 minutes. Everything Noe does is fucked up in some ways. I recommend his earlier films too; Carne, I Stand Alone, and Irreversible (this is also on instant queue).
