The netflix instant is really a great service, tons of different movies rotating through. I got rid of the disk service because i really wasnt using it. put up some of your favorites!

Posted Image

Awesome Korean thriller about revenge. serious shit this one, i really enjoyed it.

Posted Image

Possibly one of my favorite stand up sets, probably this and killing them softly.

Posted Image

Excellent documentary on a tightrope walker and his dream of tightrope walking between the twin towers. The man is an amazing story teller its worth a watch for sure.

Posted Image

Documentary on a really interesting artist andy goldsworthy, a sculptor who goes out into nature and creates using materials found around him. very interesting stuff.

Probably a bit of a rip off of the Docs thread but fuck it. ;)

Too many to suggest. Big fan of the "Comedians of Comedy" movie, plus just watched "The Philosopher Kings" which was WILD.

Also, I think they took it down, but I recently watched "Blacula" on there. Was pretty hype when I saw that lol.

My instant count is currently at 63.

Some gems I've watched recently:

Posted Image

Dope miniseries about Carlos The Jackal.

Posted Image

Crazy mind-fuck of a movie from the director of Irreversible.

Posted Image

Hilarious.

Posted Image

Vincent Cassel plays Jacques Mesrine in this two part movie covering the life of the infamous bank robber.

Posted Image

Definitely a must-see.

Suspiria is a legitimately good movie. Other than that, I was over at my friends the other day and came across an anime series called sekirei. I played it becausee I thought it looked funny and goddamn I wasn't dissapointed. Its quite possibly the most disturbing/hilarious thing I've ever seen. I reccomend watching it with friends and taking a drink everytime there are boobs or panty shots. It gets a 10 for wtf?!?!!!?!!! value.

Netflix is seperating their dvd plan from the streaming plan starting september 1st. You will have to add the 7.99 for streaming to your dvd plan. Hopefully this shift means that they will up the ante on their streaming titles.

Netflix is missing season 4 (the hour-long shows) but what they do have is seasons 1 through 3 and season 5.

Total: 136 streaming episodes.

From what I've been reading in the financial news is that Netflix's wave has started to crest. This one schmohawk was talking about how all these studios are just going to start doing the streaming their own god damn selves and try to cut out the middle man. He went on to talk about how if you pay close enough attention quite a few studios won't renew their streaming contracts with Netflix in the upcoming months.

Any Apple TV, Netflix users in the house??

Question. How is it? Can you watch whatever you want on your TV and/or your computer?

Overall, how is netflix? I am guessing good.

Bad ass thread...I hope this one goes forever...

Martial Arts Action/Cinematography:

Posted Image

This movie is fuckin raw as hell...super mythologized, badassified version of the story of Ip Man...Bruce Lee's OG teacher.

Fighting scenes are clean as shit...

not gonna lie, I cried like a bitch category:

Posted Image

War is hell...these dudes know it and so they welcome home every fuckin enlisted person in their airport as they start or end a tour...

Old dudes who paid their dues...

Classic

Posted Image

Death, chess, life...dunno what to say about this one...I loved it.

Netflix is bad ass...but it depends on the quality of your data connection. Is your isp worth a shit? Do you know how fast your internet is? Will they throttle the fusk outta your connection once you hit a limit...

That being said, you should just try netflix to see if it's going to be an option for you...they have a free trial.

Need a quick comedy fix?

Important Things with Demetri Martin, Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, and The Sarah Silverman Program are all currently streaming. They are all pretty damn funny in their own demented way.
