Anyone here a fan of Mitch Hedberg? The dude kept his long hair in his face, kept big shades on, and kept his head tilted down throughout his shows. Why? Because he had stage fright and felt very uncomfortable up on stage.

DOOM always hides behind his mask, and clearly hates performing.

Just some MM.. FOOD for thought.

stand-up comedy was my first love, Hedberg was my favorite comedian, I kinda lost hope and interest when he died in 05. He died in March, Carson died in January, and Pryor died in December. Bush was re-elected the November before, it was a hard year man.

Hunter S Thompson couldn't take it anymore either.  Offed himself 2/05

In Dec. of 2014, Ghostface Killah took part in Reddits popular Ask Me Anything series and said that the long-awaited DOOMSTARKS COLLABORATION ALBUM WAS COMING IN 2015 . Since that announcement, fans have heard little-to-no news about the project and absolutely no music. That will change at Miamis III Points Festival in October when Ghostface and MF Doom will take the stage and perform new music for the first time. The performance will not be your regular run-of-the-mill program, which is to be expected whenever Ghost and Doom are involved, and, ACCORDING TO PITCHFORK, Doom will be transported Star Trek-style directly onto the III Points Festival stage, and will appear on a live screen from the other side of time.

How funny would it be to see Ghost up on stage by himself, next to a giant screen of DOOM spitting his verses in his living room?

That's different. It's not a show billed as "Gorillaz and MF DOOM", it's just the Gorillaz and since DOOM obviously wouldn't be there they are playing the music video on the screen.

close enough man. it's 100% going to be ghostface suffering the indignity of rapping against a simulcasted DOOM on a big screen, despite the valiant effort to jazz it up with their diction. I wouldn't even be surprised if it's something like ghost rhyming live against an image of DOOM lipsynching to the studio version. I mean i'd you need a pretty great live stream to be rhyming on-beat over a joint being played in another city, right?

All this blatantly telling us it's going to be new material is heartening. I'll believe it when I hear it!

Would be cool if at the start they showed DOOM on screen somewhere and he does get 'teleported' Star Trek style...and ends up on stage as a hologram a la Pac not that long ago.

I got an e-mail from Stones Throw last week with the subject line saying DOOM was giving the Apple keynote speech via hologram. Maybe this is the sort of thing he's doing now.

you're all gonna look real stupid when he gets beamed on stage from a teleporter he invented, throwing out freshly minted copies of Madvillain 2 and the sequel to Opertation: Doomsday spitting verses with phrasing so intricate, descriptions so detailed, that the uniniated tag-a-long girlfriends who forgot to shield their eyes as DOOM speaks have their faces melted off like a nazi in Raiders of the Lost Ark

Ahem..."Even when ribs was touching never swallowed the ham." Part of Doom's longstanding tradition of rapping about never eating pork.

Yes, I know I'm fucking lame, but there are standards to maintain.

I intentionally altered the lyrics because DOOM will apparently be appearing as a hologram... I'm saying now that he's going to be an everyday hologram, next he'll be hypocritically eating pork... it was a joke, an unfunny one, but a joke nonetheless.

DOOM used to put out records. LPs worth purchasing. Who has time for shuffling computer file. The lp is a lost artform. Ghostface is no longer relevant.

New DOOMxFrank151 book coming soon. Lex records are pissed coz the cover is a re-drawing of the NehruvianDOOM pic that they had on their site when that collabo was announced, lol.

Weird thing is that the artist had a different scetch featured in the first book. Anyway, hope there is some good info in this new one.

Frank 151 has been talking about their new version of the Doom book for months.  They posted the drawing Mrvaughn  mentions on their instagram the other day - https://instagram.com/p/4hxE6-TAeN/   Several people pointed out that it was a copy of Kristian Hammerstad's doom/bishop picture.  Kristian is an awesome artist, but the funny this is that his doom/bishop drawing was just sort of average, and this one is a little better.   The artist of the new drawing seems to have been caught off guard as well.
