Always love the "He wrote this..." lines he does.

I wrote this one in B.C. D.C. O-section
If you don't believe me, go get bagged and check then

Come on stay, I wrote this rhyme on my born-day
Remind me of the same style I flipped on "Hey!"

By candlelight my hand will write these rhymes 'til I'm burnt out
Mostly from experience, shit that I learned about

I came in to the forest to finish this last record
I knew it was a female, since it was ass naked

He wrote this one with a fever sick in bed
With his dickhead inside a chickenhead

Just to eat heads on some breakdance shit and spit
He writ this skit in Sanskrit

Don't mind me, I wrote this rhyme lightly
Off of two or three Heines, and boy was they fine, G

Couldn't find a pen, had to think of a new trick
This one he wrote in cold blood with a toothpick

If any negative thought linger he let it vent
Wrote this one with his middle finger in wet cement

Children come and prick his dead body with a stick
Wrote this lyric from in the bed with a chick

I wrote this note around New Year's
Off a couple a shots and a few beers, but who cares?

Yeah the fact it's on the MF EP kinda makes people forget it exists, as that record is a hard listen. Well it is for me anyway.

The rhymes on the track are great...

"Nigga popper, stick a chick proper
Double platinum Oprah soap opera"

...but the production isn't my favourite.

Quite like this remix though. Like the beat switches to keep it more interesting:

On the topic of slept on DOOM tracks, I'd say this is one people aren't that familiar with as its a French record...

https://m.youtube.co...h?v=FD-JchVWMi4

& one track I've had in my vinyl collection for ages but never really appreciated as much is this one...

https://m.youtube.co...h?v=SrQeiNGF2GA

Love DOOM's rhymes here!! Don't know why I never gave it much of a chance before.

It's a pretty short listen overall. Impostas is the choice joint there for me. As you say not for the production (though it's a metal fingers track that never made it to the special herbs) but for the rhymes, which are that vintage DOOM goodness. I remember going back to the MF EP a couple years back (i remembered disliking it) and being stunned there was an amazing DOOM solo track on there that I had been overlooking.

"MF monday through friday get money,

saturday through sunday, brown Al Bundy"

OR

"he could take a phrase like peter piper picked a pepper

and put it where he couldn't peep the sniper, sicker repper /

nigga popper, stick a chick proper,

double platinum oprah soap opera watchers

gossipers on top of her"

I mean damn

Another track I like that prob isn't as well known would be the DM remix of Zero 7 ft DOOM 'Somersault'...

Such a chilled out record.

This is a good idea actually, there must be casual fans who read this that are familiar with a lot of the obvious stuff, but not so those tracks that take a (little) but of searching out...

Some more of mine:
Distant Star
Bells of DOOM
Sorcerers

Add on... ;)

Yeah that one is a very different style for the villain but he still kills it

'Used to keep a real cool trim less, flipped it for a high school gymnast'

I need to go back over the MF EP, only heard it a few times years ago and I remember pretty much nothing

Anyone listen to that count bass d interview? He talked a lot about DOOM. I always thought it was an act. I guess I was wrong. It was funny to hear that he asked count about Madlib and if he should collaborate with him. He had no idea who he was.

I may be wrong, but I think the deluxe edition is a digital only thing. iTunes and Amazon and whatnot.

Yeah that's where the DOOM stuff starts, but don't miss out, lots of good stories about Egon before the 50min mark too.

Really dope interview, got me through work yesterday morning.

That is a very interesting interview, long but I wasn't bored at any point. Why can't all interviews be like this. Thx for posting that.
