FUCKKKKKKKKK JADEN SMITH...

the arrogance, thinking he could rock a (ripped-off, watered down) Madlib sample, let alone a goddamn Madvillain beat.  i don't even go near any of those beats/samples, because i know better -- and i'm a marginally better rapper than he is, so he should know better too.

him and whoever produced that bullshit track should be tied up and bukkake'd all over their stupid zilch faces until they both resemble Slimer from Ghostbusters.

The first thing I thought when I heard that track was "STMB is gonna shit their pants over this".

The kid probably isn't aware of Meat Grinder (how could it be?!?!?!), so I'm sure it wasn't a case of him thinking he could beat DOOM at his own game or anything. And honestly the beat isn't terrible. It certainly doesn't have the raw soul and grittiness of Madlib's flip but it compliments Jaden's style pretty well. Speaking of Jaden, the rap is juvenile and cliche-ridden but I've definitely heard worse 16 year old rappers. There's better out there, sure, but his musical career is still at a germinal stage and I'm actually curious to see if he'll grow up to be a decent MC.

he must be aware of meat grinder, i think its more of a scheme to get attention/likes by 'stealing' a famous beat (albeit poor imitation)  to rap over, small time rappers are always doing this

terrible effort from this kid who i've never heard of and will from here on out be avoiding

I don't know if you're aware of this, but Jaden Smith is Will Smith's son and has been featured in some huge-budget (although mostly terrible) films. So, with this in mind, I don't think he's ripping Meat Grinder for attention as he already has plenty of it (the Madvillainy lyrics sheet may be a holy text for us here at the boards but you'd be surprised how "obscure" it is for the common person, nonetheless a teenager). Plus, if you've read anything about the kid, you'd know he's about as disconnected from anything as you can get.

But this isn't a Jaden Smith thread! This is a DOOM thread. On topic: New FlyLo collab is sick, but the vocals sometimes get too lost in the mix. Where's the guy who used to transcribe new DOOM lyrics here?

A first attempt, Mach can help fill in the blanks!:

The mask was haunting

sort things outted (?) y'all but them cats was daunting

Natural born king who ignore all warnings

felt compelled as hell as he switched off the on-spring

quit the chatter it's stuck now

Villain dear (?) wade in no matter the fuck how

Ka-plow, your jaw cracks with a roaring thud

remind him of some shit he saw in C.H.U.D. it was pouring blood

resemblance was staunch (?)

in his right ??? then it's his haunch

fresh kill / he gave a confused look

message in telepathy: why you so shook?

who's shook, I look shook to you, pork fork?

the shit read minds, respondin' in thought-talk

Creep aboard it with your best ninja ???  ???

bigger than Dave NY / uglier than Mork from Ork

It's just a flesh wound and I need some water

?? piece of deer steak (?) / caught it last slaughter

You got that? Oh, the canteen / get that clean

careful not to contract the gangrene

I should have aired (?) it but then I'd be a murderer

From where I was sittin' at, I couldn't reach the burner bruh

Then she would read his mind and smack him with the furniture

then the bitch disappeared and said 'bring back some burn witcha'

I came up to the forest to finish this last record

I knew it was a female since it was ass-naked

sneak up while i'm in the woods, splittin blunts

the pussy was good / i only hit it once...

the pussy was good / i only hit it once

better wash that meat

heartbeat / sound like sasquatch feet

clean that meat / heartbeat sound like sasquatch

while you at it get the mask washed

heartbeat sound like sasquatch feet? that's just villain in fine form right there. lovin this track!

Digging the new DOOM track but I def preferred that Between Villains track. Wish Flylo and doom would do a whole project. Some new doom beats with Captain Murphy over it and then some new flylo beats with doom over it  B)

also, jaden smith sucks ass. It sucks that he will be all famous and shit because of his dad

"Heartbeat sound like Sasquatch feet" is a Biggie line. Was from 'Who Shot Ya?'...

"Heartbeat sound like Sasquatch feet/Thunderous, shakin' the concrete"

...Wonder if this is an intentional quote? DOOM don't seem the type to bite another rapper...or hopefully it's a totally genius diss to Jay-Z who is always stealing BIG lines.

Actually DOOM frequently throws in lines from older hip hop songs. In some songs he'll throw in several. Off the top of my head I know he's used Rakim lines, and Kool G Rap lines.

"MF the holder of a boulder, money folder" - Madvillain, "Money Folder"

"You settle for a pebble not a stone like a rebel,

KRS-One is the holder of a boulder, money folder" - KRS One, "South Bronx"

I can't remember all of the references, but in Figaro he says "let the rhythm hit em" and in Bite the Thong he mentions two different old school tracks in a row with 'it's a demo," and "please listen to my demo". So that's an example of a Rakim line, and a Kool G Rap line. There was another Rakim line I think, but I can't remember what it is now. Doesn't DOOM reference a line from My Melody?

Also, really digging the new track. Can't wait for more Flying DOOM collabs in the future.

Umm, EPMD. There's also a reference to "Crossover" the line before.

It's not "My Melody" but:

"Hit the studio and I'm paid..." (King Geedorah - "Fazers" / Eric B. & Rakim - "Paid in Full")

DOOM's lyrics (and beats, think "Operation: Doomsday" album especially, even some Just Ice on Madvillain and "MM..Food") have these type of references all through them, some recognisable and some that may not be.

Seriously, I had an idea some time ago of starting a thread (or sub-thread) exactly about this stuff. Anyone else?

Off the top of my head, can contribute "O's beats and my rhymes attack" from Figaro is a reference (if not DIRECT quote) to MC Shan/Marley Marl "all these beats with my rhymes attached" off of Scratch

The one that always stood out to me, and this may be a stretch, was in Figaro when DOOM says "I like ice cream". To me, it always sounded just like the way Chuck D says "I like nikes" in Shut Em Down.

Funny, that was the very first one I thought of.

Yeah in "This Is Dedicated To" by Wale Oyejide:
Only the best will stand the test of time
I take this more serious than just a rhyme

My Melody:
Why waste time on the microphone
I take this more serious than just a poem

A first attempt, Mach can help fill in the blanks!:

 lovin this track!

Good lookin out. I contributed on genius: http://genius.com/Flying-lotus-masquatch-lyrics/

I'll go over yours and make any corrections I can.

I'm lovin it too! Would love a whole album from these two.
