^ It means that dude probably just has some kind of connection to DOOM that isn't related to him being über talented.

Hopefully it's more of a right place/right time type deal. (I don't know the entire story of how JJDOOM came to be, but it seems like that was the case there as well).

head over here to download DOOM's almost laughably simple remix of the JJ DOOM track "Bookhead", done as an exclusive for the release of his signature Wallabees.

Dub it off your man, don't spend that ten bucks
I did it for the advance, the back end sucks

How about the vid? This version is better than the one already posted, industrial over Jneiro's beat. Apparently the sounds come from the Clarks factory. DOOM driving an old Volvo, now that's laughable.

DOOM // Crack Magazine interview

Basic KMD-to-Doomsday stuff, but after the ?-video linked in the article DOOM mentions the inspiration for the JJ record/ being banished from the States.

what if DOOM is bishop nehru's uncle...hhahhah...anyway... i could be confusing many things...tangents, interview articles...,etc..time is not on my side right now, cant re research to provide link of validation...BUT i think i did just read a recent DOOm interview where he says money is never a object when choosing a collaboration partner...soo that invalidates all that..maybe he really does see something in that young boy...well i dont.

goodbye..cheers. im OUT

that batty boyz song is so goddamn supremely ill

I mean, I guess it's not that cool for a song to basically straight hate on gay people in this day and age,

but it just conjures up image of the villain deep in a (rap) battle with like batman, or superman, and just ripping into them.

'if I get in an argument with a one legged person....... ima talk about the leg...'

^ yeah, DOOM has justified the track as being a sort of parody on several things: diss tracks, homophobia in the hip-hop community, and most obviously his disdain for superheroes being that he is a supervillain lol. so i think you're spot-on with the analysis, Cheel...i highly doubt Daniel is truly a gay-bashing xenophobe, he says in a lot of interviews that DOOM is a character, and in some ways an exaggeration of your typical gangsta-rap braggadocio (ahem, Freddie Gibbs).

I think Batty Boys was the only DOOM track I've ever heard backlash about. I remember it being weird the first time through hearing the Villain spit homophobic business (seemed so out of character), but quickly grew to appreciate the track. Like a lot of Born Like This, it needed a few listens before the genius clicked.

^ lol, i agree with Geech. i mean, i'm all for gay rights and stuff (i've had arguments on these boards with people about it), but at the same time i don't particularly care for gays more than anyone else. when it comes down to it, i don't give a shit what they do-- so it doesn't matter to me in issues like marriage and rights because it should just be assumed that they'd have the same rights as anyone else.

likewise, when it comes to tracks like "Batty Boyz", i don't think there should be much controversy surrounding it. any rational human-being can tell the clear differences between DOOM joking about beating up an ambiguously gay duo of superheroes and people like Fred Phelps who seriously condone violence and hatred towards a targeted group of people. that PC shit has got to stop though, it's not helping anyone...the fact that there is any controversy around a song with a premise so absurdly stupid is just a sign of how ridiculous the times have gotten.

Because of violence, work place descrimination, etc.?

But it doesn't matter becuase Doom is a character. Doom, the character, is also a pedophile as evidenced by plenty of rhymes. I'm pretty sure no one thinks that Doom is actually doing that kind of thing being a father and everything. It's fiction. He's supposed to be a villain.

It's not a contest about who has it worse. People were murdered over that stuff. They get shot down in job interviews over it and shit. A lot of people were kicked out of their homes while they were still teens over it. There's not a lot of other people that will be disowned by their parents due to how they were born. Gay people aren't handed anything. I don't know what you're going by, maybe CNN or the Oscars, but that doesn't represent the situation of most people. Most people aren't Anderson Cooper or make movies for a living.

Yeah, I get that political correcntess and the media can get annoying, but it's not just about the media.
