If not: bring out the pitchforks.
Not saying that it's cool to use beats without permission, but there's definitely a double-standard there...

It's seems so trite to me when I see rappers/producers using his name and the Donuts popularity to gain attention for their own project.
If you're stuff is that quality, someone will find it without you having to name drop, spam, and promote like crazy. Personally, I am immediately turned off when I see "(_____ Inspired Beat)" or something else of that nature. I've seen instrumental projects straight being sold using Dilla's name and I've even noticed people jack his nicknames and use them as their own...

i've seen footage of them here up in Boulder, with fans showing them like Madvillain LP's for them to sign and watched Tyler bug out over seeing it...so it's pretty obvious they're aware of ST's label, and i don't even think i have to speculate if they're aware of the Yancey. so then the next question is, how do they justify doing stuff like this? it's not just a 'little' thing, he like just bragged on his last single about how he made a quarter-mil off of socks.

apparently tyler just likes donuts and used to draw them all the time on stuff
now he draws them on hats, apparently
j dilla doesn't own the concept of a donut, guys.
