i have been buying all the medicine shows, but im a lil bit dissapointed in the fact that there hasnt been a MADLIB-DOOM collabo like MMS VOL.1
i mean before the verdict is dope, this one with oh no sounds like its gonna be banging but FRANK NITTI ?!? sorry not really what i was hoping for i will buy it anyway for the beats and the collection but i just dont like Frank nitti..... i checked out frank-n-dank and even do there were dilla beats i wasnt diggin it at all.

like i said what about some other mc,s like :
Percee P (i mean come on where is Percee at)
DOOM
Dudley Perkins / Declaime
Quasimoto (a quas medicine show would be the shit)
MED

or maybe even a collabo with mayer hawthorne (i spoke to mayer hawthorne a while ago after a show and i asked him about a madlib collabo and he said he would be down for it)

Yeah but that doesn't involve Madlib in the slightest. If they are going to be working on a project together it probably won't be released via ST.

to have a madlib-DOOM collabo wouldent be a medicine show, but the new madvillainy album itself. plus its exciting to hear someone else other than the usual madlib collabo roster, i mean there was mcnasty filth but thats it.

jeru the damaja and madlib collabo

That might be interesting if Jeru were still relevant or if the year was 1997.

Yes I'm serious as cancer. I'm not hating on Jeru as much as I am on the lame ass idea. And yes Frank Nitti is relevant seeing as he and Madlib have worked together in the past and he is one of Madlib's favorite producer's favorite rappers and close friend a la Guilty. Plus there isn't that much solo Frank out there right now besides maybe a couple of 12" so to have Frank Nitti come out with a full LP is even more relevant for him to do at this point in his career.

i dont know if this question is just meant for Sunny or not.

Jeru is obviously a rapper with his own style and classic records. Frank, not really. But I just get tired of suggestions that Madlib or other producers should work with any random hip-hop character from the 90s. Personally I'm tired to death of golden age hip-hop.

Exactly. I've been scoping the store every day!

I wonder if it's going to be a 3 x LP like the other ones?

They said this one may be late, I'm thinking we may not get it this month. I'm fine with that though, the jazz albums are good enough to keep me busy until October. An update would be great though (Hint: Bot this is where you come in and let us know what's up)

Dude was just stating who he would have liked to see 'Lib work with...who cares if it was Mc Hammer...everyone got their own opinion right....i personally would be open to the idea of a Jeru and Madlib collabo..it will probably never happen, so whatever.......let's just take what Madlib gives us...he's a performer, not an entertainer

doesn't the fact that there will never be another golden age hip hop album mean that after a certain amount of time your going to be forced to move out of the 90's and do some digging for new hip hop that you actually like?

This.

Also note the fact that a whole lot of those golden age hip hop artists, if they're even active nowadays, are garbage, today. Take note of your own feelings toward the music and realize that it wasn't the "golden age" artists you were attracted to, more so the "golden age" youthful revolution going on. so many new ideas and things being created. To retread those ideals would not only be contradictory to the whole movement but disrespectful and ignorant to it's purpose as well. It's gone, deal with it. A new golden age is being created right now. Maybe it's not in the exact same fashion as before, but it's there. And the way I see it it's only going to get bigger as soon as people stop jacking off to fantasy collaborations between irrelevant artists that would probably never work with each other in reality.
