What about this one : "John Renbourn - La Rotta" for Make Em NV by J.Dilla

Maybe not one of the greatest samples, but one of the most surprising to me.

Read this the other day, always enjoy going over these sort of lists. Kon and Amir are cool cats, I like the dialog that goes along the the samples just as much as the music itself. Some notable songs/artists missing, such as Bob James for one, possibly the Winstons and so on and so on, but it's still a good as hell list!

Pretty dope.

I hadn't heard a few of those breaks.

Left out quite a few I thought would have been in there.
No Funky Drummer?! No Detroit Emeralds?

But I guess anytime someone does a "50 Greatest" list, you're bound to leave out something.

Good to see a few shout outs for Buckwild, dude doesn't get enough credit.

Always enjoyable to read folks lists, when it comes to diggers, Kon & Amir are like friggin scholars.

Thanks for the link, Fer

Kon Says: [Laughs] That was a record Amir had and he traded for some bullshit, and now that record goes for a lot of money. Actually I think DJ Spinna has Amirís copy, if Iím correct on that one.

lol that's some funny shit.

Great read indeed. This is the way sample divulging should really go down. Not just boom here's the sample, but also dropping some knowledge and showing alotta respect for the artform.
