I am wondering if anybody knows which OS is more solid and stable and offers better tools?....(I have an MPC1000 with the Akai OS v.2.11 right now)
For some reason when i upgrade to Akais 2.12 my MPC freaks out and wont load correctly....? I have been in contact with their support but they dont have any idea what could be going on.. so i revert back to the original shipped version 2.11..
Then I heard about this JJos? I hear peeps talking about how dominate it is over the AKAI OS but when i attempt to locate it, I'm left in dead ends or some sketchy ass web pages...not really wanting to trust some unknown files only to be left with a Black box that does not work right!!(Ya DIgg)
ANY Information on where i can get my hands on a legit copy of this JJos? or what could be wrong with my MPC when i upgrade the akai os..would be greatly appreciated.
Payce!
MPC 1000 Operating System!

ive found the JJ OS to be better then the standard akai and upgraded OS they offer. I myself have only downloaded the free JJ OS (3.08) and have had no problems with it at all. i think 3.09 is the latest version of the free JJ OS so just download that one and if you have any poblems let me know and i'll try and find the 3.08 file on my computer and i'll upload it for you.
heres the site to download it from (you may have already seen it but yes it looks kinda dodgy but i assure you it is legit)

try holding ERASE when starting up the MPC, it will reset settings but not the OS - this is what JJ recommends doing after you upgrade.
You'll probably need to recreate your autoload folders under the new OS
I'd go for at least OS1, but ascertain if you MPC is fucked first as the JJos licences work by machine, not the purchaser - so if you need a new CPU or something, you'd loose your investment...
