Mic frequency response..

In my audio engineering class we have been going over microphone characteristics (ohms law, polar patterns, mic impedance etc.) Im having a particularly hard time understanding microphone frequency response, and choosing different mics for different frequencies. I was hoping some of you audio cats could hook me up with some advice or links that could help me better understand this. It would be much apreciated seeing as I have midterms this week :) thanks

Good site, thought it should be noted that some of the articles were written over 10 years ago. Again, obviously still relevant but something to keep in mind.

Microphone technology hasn't really changed much in the past 60 or so years.
