  • Go to the bottom of the STMB Beat Battle 153 page, you will find the sample mp3 located there for download.
  • Flip the sample and make a beat (see below for Production Rules)
  • Upload your beat to the BeatBattle153 page

    Production rules


  • 2 minute time limit
  • 192kbps mp3 only
  • flip the chosen sample any way you want
  • outside drums and bass are allowed
  • no outside keys/synths (exception - bass)
  • no acapellas
  • vocal samples/skits are allowed
  • cuts/scratches are permitted

Well i did this much. Whoever has to decide what sample to use and upload it themselves to the drop i made. Get it here! Radiance and Flying Turns are left.

does anyone have any hints on setting up a pod cast or drop so I could share a little mix of my own beats??

Got mine uploaded. This was tough with such a repetitive beat, not a lot of instruments and change ups to pull from. Enjoy!

Tony here. just dropped. cool sample thanks wig. soooo yeeaahh...uhm. huh. mox your beat already killed me...and chima awesome tribute. and btw for any ADMIN folks...the main big link at the top of the 153 page (this page) is taking everyone to the drop for 147...not a big deal but i'd hate to see a handful of newbie beats get put in the wrong place or made from the wrong sample !!! peace ;)

Just dropped, instead of using my MPC I tried flipping the sample with FL Studios.

Thinking about making the switch to software.

hope you dig what i toss up not much time to make the beat i had no drums handy i just used the sample for everything also i made this at work with no head phone just lab top speakers i need feed back i might re work it if it sucks that bad let me know butta peace :D

What's Good Folk,

I dropped a shorty this week (Under 2 mins.., not a kid!).
The sample is quite repetitive, but still dope. The kind that's just waiting to get looped up... but I didn't do that, exactly.

I did what I did! And I got my name on it this time...

hey Cos looks like the regular mods have been pretty busy...we all shared a password to mod the drops.

good look lockin down the drop, but you need to send the password to some people who can delete and rename stuff when needed.

also, dude, all the fuss about the drop last week? if one drop is full, someone needs to step up and make a second drop or remove dupes from the first one. this has always been run by board members...mostly beatmakers on here.

anyway nice job setting up the threads, + your beats are illy...
