to be honest ive never been crazy for mayer hawthorne...what he's doing isnt innovative enough to be on Stones Throw, in my opinion


the kids got talent dont get me wrong.....but how many throwback soul artists are there out now? in other words, i think his potential may be limited

New Gorillaz news.

According to rumor, Stylo will be the first single from Plastic Beach (although it sounds 'totally different' to the demo that Damon played on his Radio 1 takeover in January), and that Bruce Willis will be in its video.

Gorillaz made an appearance in Uncut magazine (cover dated February 2010) this month as part of Uncut's preview of 2010 feature. There is an all-new piece of Phase 3 artwork and Murdoc make some comments about Plastic Beach although he doesn't name the guest stars, rather he describes them. The magazine says Plastic Beach's release date is 'Spring 2010'.




Another professional DJ / producer, Alex Metric, has tweeted about remixing a Gorillaz track. On 30th December he tweeted: "trying to get this Gorillaz remix finished to play tomorrow. running outta time! eek." And followed that up with another tweet on January 3rd:- "jeez this gorillaz remix is 7 mins long?? longest track ive done in years. bit of a disco odyssey.... "
DJs Steve Angello and Yuksek also tweeted about remixing Gorillaz tracks in late December.

De La Soul will be featured on 2 Gorillaz tracks for the album: "Sloped Tropics" and the finished version of "Electric Shock".
Mos Def will be on the track "Sweepstakes" and he will be a character called "Sun Moon Stars", the carnival game vendor at the Plastic Beach.
