I love Stones Throw! The podcasts are awesome. If only they had a track list in the info pane.... :D So this brings me to ask these questions:
At 33:59 the song switches to a guy talking to the drug addicts out there about Jesus. What song is this? Who's it by?
Also at 42:57 a song comes on with a deep voiced guy asking his wife if she took his 35 dollars and smashed his car and covered it up with garbage in the garage... Who does that song?
And finally at 49:57 a seemingly public message comes on about dope. And avoiding it. Hillarious! Where is that from?

Thanks in advance!

My boys(O-Love & DJ Houshoes), and I have been up on that record since around 1994,5,6 or somewhere, We found that track extemely funny back in those days. The track title is called "The Evil Dope", there's another track on the record that "The Evil Dope" is on, and it's called "Queen Bee Bab-B-Que" that one's pretty funny too I remember, but for the life of me I can't remember what the name of the Album is that those tracks are on, or who put it out?

I thought it was cool Madlib was up on that shit too, and used it or whatever for the podcast mix. Madlib might of got it from Dilla though, who may have gotten it from HouseShoes possibly, and it's very possible, because I know the cat who blessed Dilla with the loop or source for his first smash for ATCQ, "Find A Way", people do this?...I wonder, because it seems like Madlib would've been used the Evil Dope before now??

Here's the Queen Bee B.B.Q. song I was talking about, but really it's an old commercial, VERY FUNNY!!!! :

Billy Gibbons - "Queen Bee B.B.Q." ad #1 : here
Billy Gibbons - "Queen Bee B.B.Q." ad #2 : here
Billy Gibbons - "Queen Bee B.B.Q." ad #3 : here http://toestubber.com/b042306/QueenBeeBBQad3.mp3

All I know about Queen Bee Bar-B-Q is this: In the early 1980s, ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons was playing around with a home multitrack and created a bunch of fake ads for a (possibly nonexistent) BBQ joint. He channelled a twangy, mushmoufed cast of characters for these little radio skits like some bizarre mix of Amos Ďní Andy and a Ying Yang CD. The tapes escaped into the tape-trading subculture, and the recordings are probably disavowed by ZZ Topís management, due to social market forces and standard statistical variances in humor appreciation

checkout over here, it's where I found the Billy Gibbons "Queen Bee B.B.Q. ads", there are some diffent other B.B.Q./restaurant ads, & other things of similar nature or interests : http://toestubber.com/archives/73

those tracks(The Evil Dope, Queen Bee B.B.Q., and some others, etc.) were all on some funny album compilation of some sort together though when I first discovered them, what ya'll know about that vinyl?!?

do you know if the song queen bee bar be que is sung by a lady named Queen Bee. I'm sure there were plenty with that name but when I was in middle school we had a fairly well known old jazz singer lady come through named queen bee. First time I ever improvised for a crowd

Ok just read the other post and realize this post has nothing to do with anything else. damn.

I'm pretty sure that the deep voiced guy is Bill Cosby, doing a song called "Yes Yes Yes (Rat Own Rat Own) off one of his comedy music records. Don't have it, though, so I can't confirm.

Up'n this thread, I really want to know about the "eddie is dead" song and the "ride on baby". If the second is Bill Cosby does anyone have the full version? I would love a tracklist to this podcast I still play this on a regular basis...
