hey i have a request. i have this anti-mp3 purist streak in me, and as member of a borderline-fundamentalist Orthodox Cratediggerist sect, i'd like to see whenever possible, uncompressed 16b 44.1k wav samples, recorded straight from vinyl. i know that's not possible for some of us, and to be democratic about it, i'd say mp3 format should always be available too for those with slow connections and short attention spans, and i know some folks just have a pure software setup and/or no turntables and therefore can't record vinyl to .wav in the first place. in that case a wav ripped straight from CD would be the best option, and mp3 would be the last resort.
of course, the beats people upload should be mp3, i have no beef with that. it's just the sample i'm talking about here.
not sure what the proper channel is for this recommendation, but thought i'd just slap it onto this thread. Thoughts?
