Did you know that all of Fela's albums are being re-issued? Knitting Factory Records is going to release 45 Fela albums over the next 18 months. I know this has nothing to do with ST, but figured if you're a Fela fan you'd want to know.
Check the link: http://worldmusiccentral.org/article.php/k...la_Kuti_Catalog

The Best Of The Black President marks the birth of Knitting Factory Records. Earlier this year, Knitting Factory Records licensed the 45-album Fela Kuti catalog. Over the next 18 months, the label will release remasters of all the Fela Kuti CDs in unique digi-packs with the original artwork, as well as certain releases on vinyl for the first time in North America. Knitting Factory Recordswill also be giving the first official release to the entire Koola Lobitos catalog- this was Felaís highlife band which he fronted through the 1960ís

ST has made similar claims that shit will drop in the past and we are still waiting.

all about the hype. i will be happy when the MV shit does actually drop.

and that medicine show shit too.

One of the next ST releases should also be the "Minimal Wave Tape" Compilation by Veronica Vasicka and Peanut Butter Wolf and a new 12" by Arabian Prince - Let's Hit The Beach Remixes

Looking forward to that Bruce Haack compilation actually, though I probably will have large chunks of it already. I kinda like knowing what's coming down the pike from ST, even if they don't always have the dates nailed down. Gives you something to look forward to.
