Ok gents, changing things up a bit. For this week, the rules are as follows:

• Only 5 chops/slices from the original sample source are allowed.
  
• They must be played at the beginning of the track, before your beat drops.
  
• Synthesizers are allowed this week in addition to outside drums and bass
  
• 2 minute time limit
  
• 192kbps mp3 only
  
• no acapellas
  
• vocal samples/skits are allowed
  
• cuts/scratches are permitted

Deadline for submission is wednesday, september 30th 11:59p.m. with voting starting on thursday and ending on friday.

this is the earliest ive ever dropped...only 5 chops, a little confused at "play at the beginning" part, i just played the chops like i would normally play an intro...sooooo...uummm ya i dont feel where you're comin from on that one coel. get back at me...

It's just a checker so everyone will know which chops you used, to get an idea of how creative everyone gets with their 5.

I'm up. good idea for rules. kinda used a synth as the main dish with the sample as garnish. bit monotonous, but didn't want to keep adding synths...my five chops are at the start...

How strict are you on the having the chops in the beginning? And do there have to be synths in the beat?

Chops at the beginning let's everyone know what you're using. Synths are allowed for this particular battle but not a requirement.
