Tillman- like the deep bass, the effects on the horn is pretty ill, i almost couldnt even tell it was from the samp. nice

Jin- this beat was a dope, abstract and fulfilling. maybe toss in some switch-ups. i particularly like the drums, there different from everyone elses, way to stay unique.

insdrumental- great poem intro, these drums are really sick, like breakbeat with a jazzy touch, petty classic. the change up at 1:00 is prime!

biz- i lie the snare, and the spaced bass. the piano chops on this are dirty, castlevania-esque.

phate- i like where your going with the drums, but when you dropped them out, i would have brought back in a different pattern, just me. still dope.

jay butcher- beginning bass is tight as hell, piano reverse is a smart move. very chill and laid back beat. sounds good.

cralias- i really like the chops on this one, stands out to me, hat is well placed and at the perfect volume. good job!

oddknowledge- the swing of this is perfect, the chops match well with it. definitely would have liked to hear that bass a little louder. nice beat.

foutrestyle- the kick is haunting, the nineties style snare that drops every so often was cool, this has bounce to it.

rundrip- busy at first, but started to appreciate the chops more as the beat went on, the piano riff made me feel like i was in a fun house.

dubiuos- woah, this is WAAY out there, like my name is isaac and im stuck on a distant cruiser in space to dismember alien zombie hordes.

butta- you say you didnt put a lot into this, which pisses me off more :D cuz its sick! everything was placed very smoothly. i think im gunna use this song as i oil a Brazilian chicks back on a red silk bed. no but seriously it sounds professional.

elvis jc- i like this one a lot too! it has a great vibe...theres nothing like a beat that puts you in a good place. the piano skip is soo sweet. nice!

grimystar- heavy! what happened with the levels near the end? was that on purpose? nice chops nonetheless.

jvox- digging the reverse chops. different feel to this. to be honest with you and everyone...its actually harder to make a messy styled beat like this but keep your tempo strong than it is to just drop a norm beat and some chops...at least for me. great beat idea.

45- the mos effect was a nice addition. your chops seem to follow it pretty well, even the tone of the sax. the switch is what i think the people want hear when the re-listen. and the crowd raises a mic clenched fist to their mouths and goes: "ooooohhhh"

cplus- yes on the chops. on the real, the hat made me sway, shit is smoooth. i like the snaps, and the bassy cuts. well done!

nonsense- chops are dope, maybe would have turned down the sax a bit. but that SNARE is popping bra straps everywhere, i just know it! bout to head outside and get a better look. must be layered. if not, you found the sacred snare.

lennycorino- grimy, dirty. the drums are nice, and what you did with the piano was dope, a little repetitive, but good.

half past dead- this is sweet if you really listen to whats going on, i would have turned down the raspy snare though, so you could hear the women better and the shredding chops better.

manifest- head nodder, HATASTIC! the chops work well with the percussion. very smooth and satisfying to my ears. simple but just...there. dunno what it is.

sft- lol wack ass beats? look man the music doesnt lie, if people vote for you their voting honestly..i hope. your beats have style, you're gunna get haters and people who like it, dont put your own shit down or insult your fellow producers on our taste :P epic switch at 0:25, would have been dope to hear that piece be the center of your beat.

terry teo- how many fingers do you have? nice piano chops. and the bass is serious! way to smooth the beat out.

satori- i like the ballroom effect on the perc, the sax is nice as well.

thedoc- jazzy, piano sounds like a chinese instrument of some kind, maybe could have put the same effects on the sax as the piano.

tkurata- i missed this...i like it, funky! unpredictable, the piano sounds like some donuts work. not saying your biting at all, just saying it reminds me of it, and when most people are reminded of dilla they smile...

lukenathan- like i said in the drop, your vibe is nice, wanted to hear more...

maestro- im in love with the piano chops, this is a well produced beat.

full week! lots of dope beats. vote goes to: Cralias the force was strong with this one, like i said those chops dont lie, i was feelin them. nice work! good job everybody!

lol sorry i made you mad man but if you get the brazilian chick ask if she got a sister or homie girl, i mean i did make the music i should be able to use it also lol naw thanks alot my beat have been called alot of things but professional never peace Butta :D

Jinesis - I think I hear a lot of similar chops that I used but you killed this shit -- the drums are fantastic, the bassline works just right -- dopeness..!!

insDrumental -- dope..!! love the 90's vibe on this one, I would maybe cut down on the amount of reverb, but otherwise this whole beat is fire..!! (points off for the abrupt ending - sorry)

biz20 - this beat is real nice -- everything really comes together just right -- ill..

Phate 75 - I am going to see an on-going problem here, ha ha -- keep doing your thing for sure .. sonically it sounds good, but I am just not a fan of the style .. sorry

Jay Butcher - chill beat, could use more and/or be shorter though -- like Gza said, "Make it brief son, half short and twice strong."

Cralias - this is the type of beat that I would play the song on mega-repeat no matter who was rapping over it just because the beat is so ill -- this shit is a monster..!!

OddKnowledge - very slick beat, real nice subtle use on the piano, really sounds nice..!! (another abrupt ending)

Foutrestyle - damn, this shit moves -- nice little 2 min journey..!! oh and the drums are real, real nice -- love the dynamics..!!

RUNDRIP - dope..!! I mean, it's pretty fucked up and unsettling .. but in that "dope..!!" kinda way..

Lord Dubious - not really feeling this one -- sounds massive though -- and I love the title..

buttaslick - pretty ill, both the drums and the bass are great - flows real nice, the change at the end is a little strange but overall it works and does a nice job of breaking it up a bit -- good shit.

ElvisJC - slick shit -- this is probably going to sound weird but it has an indie-rock sound to me -- almost like you did a muzak version of some indie-garage-pop-rock ------ whatever, whatever, whatever -- I dig, I dig..!!

Grimystar - damn, giving my speakers a real nice bass workout (although some of those notes sound like they could be a bit off) -- cool beat, that bass definitely steals the show..!!

jvox - holy sweet jesus, this beat sounds like it's crying -- what the fuck..?!?!?! nasty..!!

4Five - beautiful -- those drums are just perfect for the loop..!! the outro is pretty ridiculous..!!

CPlus408 - real nice -- this beat will sound 100x better with some rhyming over it -- not knocking the beat, but it just sounds like it's begging for some vocals..

Nonsense - another one that is flexing my bass, but again some notes sound off -- snare is pretty bright too -- still the beat is ill..

lennycorino - sounds like it belongs on a Gravediggaz or Ill Bill record or something .. shit is EVIL..!! nicely done..

Half Past Dead - head has been fucked..!! that shit was earth-shattering..!! (where are those vocal clips from..?? sounds so familiar but can't figure it out)

manifest beats - goddamn, alot of really nice beats this week -- this shit is buttah (ain't no parkay, ain't no margarine...) -- real nice use of the horn on the switch up, almost using it as the bass line -- sweetness..!! dope.. (and you gotta love the Half Baked reference)

sft - overall the shit sounds good, but not really feeling the bass line much and the drums get kinda knotted at the end..

Terry Teo - great work on the downtempo feel - lots of good stuff going on -- like it..!!

Satori - I really like the feel the bassline/pianoline gives it -- the piano loop and horns are great - another dope beat..!!

Kal-El - this one's pretty damn good -- sounds like a couple rough cuts in the big piano fill -- but the smaller piano fills sound so great..!! the drums maybe snap too much, but still sound pretty damn good -- I liked this one a lot .. even if it did have a bit of an abrupt ending..

thedoctor46 - interesting .. not sure if it would help or hurt the beat, but I kinda wish it was the same horn loop over 3 or 4 times in a row each time, but at the same time it would maybe ruin the flow -- I dunno, just makes it a little repetitive..

tkurata - sounds like your sound quality got a little jacked -- I tried the link but that didn't seem to work -- anywayyyyys, the beat is dope - I really like the playfulness of that synth sounding thing (not really sure what it is) but sounds really cool..!!

lukenathan - pretty cool, the distorted part may have been a little on the louder side, I liked the beginning and the very ending, especially, best ..

Maestro - Classsssssssy..!! mind is racing through a rolodex of ill emcees I wanna hear over this..!!

VENOMOUS - like the feel of this, but probably too repetitive for its length .. that weepy horn is pretty great though..

Cos - kinda sounds like my beat on drugs -- but seriously, this is an effects workout -- sounds great though..!!

saxmob - this is some creamy peanut butter smoooooth..!! like the change going in, it's a little rougher coming out .. the second one seemed smoother .. ack, abrupt ending..!!

Bix - DOPE - I like what you got going on with the piano (is any of it reversed..??) - drums are spot-on and bass is real nice..!! ha ha, now that's an abrupt ending I like..!!

there were seriously a serious amount of seriously dope beats this week..!! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of variety this week with the amount of beats -- this sample was great, it really helped create one of the best weeks as a whole I have heard in a long time. jvox and Half Past were two of my favorites, but Cralias stole the show for me..

I wanted my critique of other tracks to only use emoticons but it wont let me post. Damn!

Lots of good tracks, I enjoyed listening to those who took risks with it. Keep it up.

Those who kept the vibe (myself included) kept it real cool so it mostly comes down to pure taste.

:excl: B) SFT

Tkurata - Diggin the choppy feel. Like how you arrainged the samples. Nice structure. The highs were were a little too hot in the mix i think. Good beat though

Foutresyle - :10 is my favorite riff and i love it the best when it comes back thoughtout the song...gets me everytime. ohh shit 1:21 is the isssshhhhhh!!!!!!! Even nicer riff! Thanks! Id say there were some real nice ideas in this! A little less and more in parts is what it needs but its dope though.

Cralias - Nice! Dope bass. Dope chops! Love the switch up fill. nice bro...i dig it

Lucas Nathan - interesting take on the sample. maybe more cohesiveness but i can catch the vibe though...cool shit man.

Lord Dubious - On some spacey dub acid breakbeat ish. Got me buggin yo! Dig it!

ElvisJC - Like the melody and the harmonic structure of the piece. Some of the notes i would have maybe left out in the piano bridge kinda solo thingy but thats my opinion....very relaxing vibe nice and chill

Half Past Dead - eq the highs a bit down i think. This is hauntingly epic!!! I appreciate the design and time put into this. like that riff.....wish i couldve heard more of it in the mix. but thats just preference. Good job though

insDrumental - nice arraingement of the cuts...the break is cool but wanted to hear more done with it. Good structure of the piece though

Jay Butcher - soft mix. wanted to hear more variation with the melody. nice idea though

Jvox - dig the outness of this. dope! This sounds real nice to me. This track is wow! Props!

Kal-EL - you worked with the part i worked with too...cool!! Like the piano solo fill and break down at :41. I wish the snare hit harder. chill vibe

Lenny Corino - the bd and bs muddied up a bit IMO. dig the vibe though. Reminds me of Wu. I want to hear Gza, Killa Priest, INS, ODB rip this!

Manifest Beats - the left channel had a a little too much to my taste. Like the descending melody part at :57 but it seemed like an abrupt transition into it and away. Didnt seem to match but thats me. Like the vibe though!

Maestro - Nice and chill vibe. like some Om lounge type stuff. nice structure

Nonsense - like the chops but i kinda want a different tone on the bass. good structure

Phate 75 - Im really diggin this. like the design of this one a bunch. Want the bd to knock harder but thats preference. dope drums! you used the title "medicated" better than i did, for sure! Very nice piano that fits the life support in the end.

RUNDRIP - oh yes!!! Niiiicccceee head nodder! Dope shit. The riffs and arraingment is sick fun shit. got me doo doo gaa gaa!!

Satori - your stuff that i can remember so far tends to always have a peaceful flutter to it. like my girls hair when we sit at the lake.....ooops sorry i got tranced by the beat. dope stuff!

Saxmob - sounds like some old school janet jackson type production or something like it. Nice break down at :31. I think the different parts dont transfer as smooth as i would want but its still nice though

sft - Dope. you got the sax to say sing s-f-t!!! like how full this sounds. dope odd time change!!!

DJ CPLUS - oh shit lean wit it.....ready for the club. Good for a vocalist who can feel it. Like the chop arraingement at the beginning and at 1:18 the best. Sounds dope but the other riff seems an odd contrast. Dope though!

Terry Teo - needs some more work but some good ideas in here...1:05 sounds real nice. i maybe wouldve done a different drum beat and kit but its cool though.

thedoctor46 - like the melodies dancing around....wanted the sounds a little more fuller but no prob.....like the call and response of the sax and piano. cool shit

Odd Knowledge - like how this sounds tonally. cool swingin poly shit. fun!

grimystar - bass heavy whoa!!! damn son that shit is muddy yo! Nice chops melody. some more variety maybe.

tillman - yours is kinda bass heavy too and things arent as clear as i would like. like the chops and arraingment though...sounds real nice despite the low frequencies issues.

Venomous - oh shit this is heavy. nice and dark oh yes. diggin this beat alot. im cold and hungry dude! this shit speaks to me

Bix - you toyed with the one i did too...nice chops. wanted a little more variation but its cool though

Biz20 - dig how you played the chops. Nice head noddin cypher ish.

buttaslick - i can see what your doin..cool melody arrainging. and use of natural sounds to accompany in the drums

Jinesis - siiicckkk. those drums are bananas...love this swing yo!!!! dope notes dancing in my head yo!! like what you did kid!!

4Five - dope breaks. like how you fit in mosdef. nice chill chops like the second part too. nice track
