One of the only other Animated Films Rene Laloux directed was Time Masters. Not as trippy as Fantastic Planet but still a great film nonetheless, it's currently OOP to my knowledge, good luck getting a copy.

chicago had it back in theaters for a week. new print with better subtitles. check your cities, it might be playing now. oh, don't forget to get a sack of the so-fine.

this is one of DOOM's special herbies set to pink floyd's video for goodbye blue sky.
it goes really well with this video. i think it actually works better with it than the original song does.


the things at 01:07 remind me alot of the om exterminator people on fantastic planet.

anybody here remember an old cartoon they showed on nickelodeon in the 80s called Spartacus, or something like that? i think it was french, it was about some dudes exploring under the earth in some kind of ship. man it was trippy. the animation reminded me of that old ass animated version of star trek with kirk n spock n'em. the action was really subdued.
