You can put your beat to some sort of footage - any type you want.

Ie.

Or just film some footage ur self. Its not mandatory, you DONT have to do this but i imagine if you pull it off well u'd probably get more votes.

• I was thinking of just uploading it on youtube and just posting it up on here as most of the clips would be over 10 mbs. But Coel will probably set up a drop big enough to throw the videos into so for now hold back on post up ur beats until Coel reports in.

This idea is ACE!! coel, you should make this an option for every battle to come, just in case someone misses a battle or doesn't finish their vid, they still have a chance in the future. ex. ME! lol my connection is garbage and will take a long time to upload a vid to the tube. looking forward to the entries. I've thought about something like this for a while now, Im glad someone had the creativity to call on it.

too busy thu and fri to vote this time around....about the feedback thread imo don't see a reason for a separate thread so much. a lot of the feed is going up on drop.io... i'll try to do a round again soon. for a while there we had topnotch feedback going in the battles, but the size and speed of the battles make it almost impossible...

nazm0--twin battles is a good idea, but it sounds a bit complicated for the weekly battles and nobody would want to post 1 after sugoi/sft/wig/biz20 etc!

yo primate, nice typography in the art forum! you should def check this book out called "Thinking in type" by Alex W. White. I was reading it when i studied graphic design, it will teach you a lot about the art of typography.

so Coel or SFT, whats the deal on the drop, are we uploading to youtube? or can we drop the movie file directly into the drop as a file type? EX. avi, mpeg, etc. i guess my question is how are we doing this drop. kind of lost lol

Oh flip my forgot to update yall - you can upload onto the drop! I believe its not a 1 gig drop.

Makes it easy then going thru a whole bunch of diff pages.

Try searching on google for youtube downloader theres a few sites out there.

I use this Ant.com toolbar. If you type it in just like that "ant.com" it should be at the top of most searches. It puts a searchbar on your browser with a dowload function for flash videos. You can swipe Youtube videos all day long.

-Made in Nero/Nero Vision
-Clip: "Kids Story" from The Animatrix
-Youtube vid downloaded from "cnet's" youtube downloader
-Quality set at "optimal" anything higher would have almost tripled the file size

I gave the video a try, just for the hell of it. I know nothing about editing video, so I grabbed a vintage Makaha surfing video and laid the track over it and hoped it worked.

Video Editors get my undying respect from here on out.
