I deleted one beat after someone left a note requesting it get deleted. Sorry, can't remember who (they said they weren't happy with it and it wasn't the right kbps)
It could be that there are more beats than fit on the page, maybe it's on page 2, idk (drop doesn't work with IE6...)?? Other wise re-up it.

sick week!

my favs in no order: just top to bottom.

Kornell - smooth and has a good feel to it. like i said in the comments, its well orchestrated.

b banks - intro set it up nicely, pretty epic. chops were on point.

Dubious - big ups to this beat. my idea as clear as hell: refer to comment in drop. this put a lasting image in my head. sick!

sugoi - had a good flow, but to be honest with you sugoi, im still bumping your "bb113" beat, that was tough, bring that style back.

butta - kept it strong, beat knocked through out. the stutter chops is what did it for me. nice!

2-8 - like dubious: this beat left an image burned into my retna's(spelling) dope.

sft - BASSSSS, it was well lined in the beat. flawless brosif. i got cuts for days. nice work.

all the beats were ill this week but my vote goes to:
DUBIOUS

SILLY AMOUNT OF BEATS THIS WEEK..!!

oh well, coffee is made, bong is packed, headphones are on -- let's do this...

Tictoc - nice beat, really nice filter work going on and it moves along real nice -- some of the vocals sound a little off key/pitch with the beat at times and the claps are a little too snappy when not filtered -- but small and nit-picky to the overall picture. nice work.

PRC - I really like the dusty feel on this one -- not sure if that horn is from the sample (I don't remember) but it works real nice with what you got going on. it stays pretty low-key throughout but there is nothing wrong with that -- I wanna hear Q-Tip and Phife over this beat for real..!!

Jinesis - what's up Jin .. been a while -- anyway, I have been listening to some of the beats earlier and thought I heard another one that sounded like this. some real nice stuff going on here, love how you dragged the sample through some gravely mud and some other pretty nasty filters. nice to see you still putting in work. [edit: after listening again to hear how it compared to grimystar I realized just how nasty this beat is -- that guitar loop isn't really my favorite but what you did with it is just spectacular -- fantastic work..!!

grimystar - ahhhh, I guess this is the one I thought of when hearing Jin's beat -- you both rocked that guitar loop .. sweet beat, really moves along nice -- damn, not trying to compare (at least not too much) but it was kinda hurt by directly following Jin's beat.. sorry

Wig - beautiful..!! you took it straight to the basement and just drenched it in evil..!! holy fuck this is nasty..!!

Friies - interesting -- anyway, seems to me that things aren't exactly hitting when they need to be .. some shit is too early, some too late .. beat concept aside, to me there are some problems with this that keep it from being a solid beat -- sorry..

Terry Teo - man, I really like this beat a lot - I really appreciate that you put together more of a song than most .. seems that most people, including myself, pretty much contained themselves to one loop (with plenty of touches here and there, but...) but you have that definite A part/B part -- I wasn't able to stretch the sample that far so props for that -- execution, while very good is not quite as strong as concept -- like the strings could have been reverbed (more) so they blend better, the drum sounds aren't all what maybe they should be, some of the subtleties should be more, well, subtle -- still a lot is right with this beat as well, the bass is fantastic and overall it is just a good listen.

Kornell - massive sound going on here, really sounds full and live, so props on that..!! the switch up is dope, but isn't very smooth coming in or going out -- again, this is just being uber-nit-picky as both parts are nasty, but there are some pretty solid beats this week so you kinda need to be..

Darekta - I really like where you took this with the brushes, I am digging these softer/lower key beats a lot .. anyway, there's some good and bad here -- for the most part it's good, but that part around 0:33-0:35/1:17-1:20 just sounds kinda messy and sloppy to me and derails the beat for me - also the rimshot is a little too clean and sharp for the overall tone - I like the reverse at the beginning and the bass is reeeeeal nice -- it's just a couple of seconds that unfortunately hurt it for me overall -- sorry..

b.banks - the more I hear this one the more I like it -- the drum work is really cool during the change-up -- probably could be EQ'd more to the bassy side but overall it's pretty cool.

nazm0 - smoooothness despite having a pretty choppy flow -- that all probably comes from the sweet bassline. really dig that juxtaposition you got going -- nice drops throughout, simple yet effective drums with perfect little touches (just soften that snare a bit) -- yessir, this is a definite keeper..!! (ha ha -- so what exactly happened with the ending there..??)

Snutch Buck - not really sure what's going on here -- I am failing to find melody in all this *press, press, press, press, press, press, girl, press, press, press, press, press* .. I'm not sure you pulled off what you were going for -- sorry

Lord Dubious - hmmmm, I am not really sure that what was sampled really works with what you got going on everywhere else and that shouldn't be -- it's like you had real good bass/drums and forced the sample into it and for me the two just aren't working together -- I do have to say everything sounds fucking great though..!!

Sugoisounds - this shit is damn near fucking perfect..!! goddamn..!!

Bit.Or - I really like the main loop, but does get a bit monotonous and the change in the middle doesn't quite work -- props for the ending I dig that loop..!!

Tripod - man, this one just sounds great -- the crackles, the way it's EQ'd, the filter -- ALL GOOD..!! composition-wise, again not really sure what's going on here -- chops just seem to be dropping in at random instead of trying to retain a sense of melody -- not sure .. is it different for the sake of different..?? maybe I am thinking too inside the box, but why turn something sweet into a bit of a mess..??

ForestBump - ill..!! it's that same guitar loop again, but the drums..!! man, a lot of people reversed this with great results..!! another one that really shines as a song rather than a loop..!! only thing is that it's a little on the trebly side for me -- thicken it up with some bass and it will really sound nice..!! (oh yeah, and nice to see you didn't hang on that guitar loop but rather really kept it moving..!!)

buttaslick - sounds like a fucking space cow up front..!! another one that just sounds tremendous..!! pretty dope -- I have to say there is some real nice work was done here -- real nice work..

2Eight - nasty bass and drums sound real nice .. man, y'all are killing it with the smooth beats -- real nice beat, it rides along just right -- good work..

Nitro Fresh - not bad - at 2:00 it's kinda monotonous though and could probably be EQ'd better..

sft - love how the bass line at the beginning sounds like someone humming the bass (unless that's what it actually is, which would make it even cooler) -- anyway, HOLY SHIT..!! beautiful work here -- this shit just weaves in and out of filters and stop's and go's and all that good stuff -- really, really dig it..!!

saxmob - BROOKLYN ZOO..!! ha ha -- I dig the loops, but not sure if they blend together so great -- at least there needs to be more of a transition between the two rather than just going into each other out-right..otherwise this beat is pretty damn tight.

Evil Needle - whoa -- yeah - dope stuff here..!! real nice blend on the chops, damn this shit came together really nice and there are some nice little touches and stretches throughout to put it in a much higher league -- nice..!!

Kal-El - not sure about the bassline on this one, doesn't quite fit what's going on in my opinion -- there are some real nice chops that flow pretty nice, but I am just distracted by the bass -- and I swear I hear 'Super Mario Bros' in here - haha..!!

BSun - this is pretty good, real nice use of the vocals -- kinda sounds to me like the snare is a little off on that little fill -- another one that really gets sent through the filters -- maybe a little too sharp in the mix, but still a very cool beat.

Biz20 - hands down, best bass of the week..!! really like the sound of this one, peeps really did a good job with the sound mix on some of these beats -- only knock is that it really doesn't change up much at all -- but what's there definitely knocks..!!

abstraKt Beats - y.y.you.ou.ou -- ha ha - dope..!! yet another trip into heavy filters -- sorry but like almost 30 beats in and you start hearing some of the same things going on - but it does add a touch of variety to the overall beat -- I like the drums, but maybe could be muddied up a bit to match the more bassy, dusty sound of everything else..

Tron - somewhat similar sounding to Wig's (or maybe it was someone else's) with the running strings -- another one that is a little on the monotonous side and seems drums sound a little off at times -- if they were more subtle it would be fine, but as loud and up front as they are they should be more on the beat in my opinion..not a bad beat though.

dimelove - this might be the first one pitched up - ha..!! nothing earth shattering here, but definitely a nice little beat, if only a little repetitive -- scratches add a real nice touch though..

GG - well, respect on taking this beat where no other person could -- but not really diggin' it..

moxatron - dope..!! I really like the chops in this one -- it sounds real nice and rocks along real nice -- this one straddles sounding chill and kinda rugged real nicely..!! another one that got sent through the filters - ha ha, though the reverse guitar lick sounds pretty sweet..!! I am definitely digging this one.

Cos - started off okay, but this swtich up just made things get real nasty..!! here we go again into heavy filters -- damn, a lot of that going on this week .. nice work with stutters (not really sure how to explain -- sounds either delayed, or tapped quickly or something with a record -- I dunno, but sounds cool). I like it..

ElvisJC - hell yeah, now this is some off shit I can get behind..!! this shit sounds like it's on acid -- damn, damn, damn..!! head has been fucked..!!

atticus - reeks of Madlib-isms, it has those radio-station switching sounds like in 'Episodes', it has a Melvin Van Peebles drop and is really just different parts of the actual song with little to no chopping going on..all that said, it is a good listen - it ain't bad, but well...

lennycorino - nice to hear this after all the others, this one just somehow sounds different in a batch of beats that managed to sound similar in all sorts of different ways (not saying they all sound the same, this one is one of the ones that just sounded different). nice beat, like it's stance on the rugged side of the street .. that one note that hits just sounds so crazy -- fucking dope..!! (soften them snare hits though and maybe dusty it up a bit)

Bilbok - right on, what a nice way to end the day -- this is a real nice beat..!! just sounds nice and fun and chill - really good shit.

Fucking Fuck -- I have to pick a winner, with so many winners in the batch..??

my super-favs this week = Jinesis, Wig, nazm0, Sugoisounds, sft, biz20 and ElvisJC -- there were some other really great beats, but for me these stand above the rest -- now from that list I would have to say my vote goes to: WIG for making that shit dark .. but believe me, there were some real gems this week..!!

well congratulations, after listening to sooooo many beats I have never wanted to hear another beat less at any other time in my life -- ha ha, that shit was exhausting..!! sorry if I came off harsh on any of these beats, but the reality is that there are some fucking ridiculous beats each week and others not so much (and once again beats that completely put my effort to shame) -- luckily it's a little easier to be critical on a message board - haha -- but the reality is that you don't get better by having people blow smoke up your ass, so please don't take any criticisms as insult -- I can clearly hear the effort in these and it doesn't always feel good speaking critical on them, but I rather someone go back and re-listen on what they can do better the next time rather than not progress because someone said something was ill when it wasn't as ill as it could've been -- trust me, I am victim to every criticism I have had for others, so I am not looking down on anyone -- well, that's it -- just hoping to make my intentions clear..

PS: I am kinda surprised with how many beats come to grinding halts at the end -- I dunno, maybe it's just me but it kinda hurts a beat for me when it just ends when it really shouldn't .. keep doing your thing, but in my humble opinion at least a simple fade out will make it end better then pulling the rug out from under the listener out of nowhere...

Thanks man. yea the "horn" was from the sample, its just a short sound i time stretched, pitch shifted, filtered, changed the attack/release, etc on. i dont even think it was a horn at first.

I'll talk about the ones I download because those were good enough to warrant it.

SUGOiSOUNDS
- This was the first track I touched and it was great! That intro was murder and the rest of the beat is really smooth. Just a great track overall. The only flaw is the fact that it just doesn't do enough compared to another who did the same style beat who is...

BSun - I don't wanna compare right off the bat but there's a good smoothness to this track that does a bit more and differentiates itself enough from SUGOi's that I gotta give this one the best beat using that sound.

grimystar - Out of all that used that guitar sample, this is the only that properly just lets the sample do it's thing and let the track ride. I like the way it incorporates a variety of the guitar samples as opposed to just the one used in other tracks.

Nitro Fresh - What can I say? Murder. Hearing the first few seconds, I didn't know what to expect. It hit pretty high until about 30 seconds. That's when I yelled "killed it" a few times. Such a good track, especially that it was pretty original in my opinion.

PRC
- However, I gotta give you props for doing something drastically different. Such a smooth, low-key track. Reminds me of an interlude on an instrumental album that doesn't exist (yet?). It's laid back and plenty dope.

Evil Needle - There was one sample, I think it's the strings? I can't tell, I don't make beats, but that's what did it for me. It was also the way the rhythm was built using the sample. Great stuff again.

SFT - When I heard that beat box intro again, I was felt better about it when you did something with it instead of leaving wholesale like in last week's beat (which was still dope). Then the transition from that to the beat happened and I went ballistic. This was before I heard the beat. When I did, I didn't know what to do with myself. After a while, I questioned whether it was too dope...

I thought his track was the best, but my god was it close , stf, Sugoisounds, wig, 2eight, and Nitrofresh all came very close. Went for b.banks cause I liked it the most, the mix is lethal
