yo.. I dunno if someone forgot, but are we supposed to be voting today? If so / not, hopefully nobody will be offended by my creation of this thread!

---

find the beats here
listen to them and vote for your favorite beat by posting the name of the beatmaker in this thread
in big color letters

you have until Friday midnight EST to vote.

The winner must choose a sample here, one that has not been used before. If the thread ''BeatBattle 123'' is not created, the winner can create it.

Keep in mind, if the winner wishes to modify certain aspects of the rules for the next battle (allowing synths etc.) he is free to do so.

good luck!

y'skid Takes it for really bringing those Jackson 5 songs to life.

dj Earl-e comes in close for me. One of my fave MJ songs and a driving beat. Kudos, brotha.

Besides a couple of others, I heard a lot of beats that didn't really fit the guidelines, but whatever.

Battle was challenging as hell and I had a super good time making the beat. Props to everyone. Thanks for comments.

Rest in Peace, MJ.

it was hard i liked Nitro's take on the beat and the concept and Biz's beat was soo on point and AZ was original and set the whole thing off....

After a second listen to them

Imma vote for myself... J/K! I don't think the producers listen to all the tracks. Especially the ones that are closer to the deadline. Wouldve been nice to get a comment or two on the drop. I make an effort to listen and comment on each an everyones beats. It's all love though. Big ups to all!!!

I'm torn between two tracks. I like the cleverness between Crackpipe and Yskid. Both had some interesting musicality you two. I'm going to have to go with Yskid

Daaam! I'm really, really sorry I didn't have time to participate in this one! Great idea!

Favorites:
CRACKPIPE one of my all-time favorite MJ joints and the production just sounds fluid... more like it's being played instead of pogrammed
Y'skid well-done
quietfolks great re-interpretation/well done

it was hard to choose between all these but
biz20 gets my vote for funkyness/head-noddin'-ness. the shit is just hooked up nice.

To everybody out there. You guys have really inspired me every week. I have been doing all original instrumentals(no samples) for about three years now and have forgotten how much fun it is to flip other peoples work. Thats what happens when you do too much commercial work. So thanks to everybody, for being ill...straight up.

I hope to learn from all of you.

much love and respect,
Density & Time.

Shit, i missed it too.

I think we should Re-Structure.

Friday AND Saturday should be voting days, and the new battle should start on SUNDAY
